It's not "carp". I believe Kensei calls him "Guv", which is like...calling someone "buddy" as in "Hey, buddy" as an Englishman.

In the game, Tekken 5, the character Steve Fox calls out on his opponents and says "Wanna try me, Guv?" w/c is like "Wanna try me, buddy?"

It was when Kensei was drunk and Hiro was trying to knock some sense into him, Kensei (who is drunk) says that Hiro reminds him of a fish, a carp in particular...lol So that's why Kensei calls him 'Carp'

its becoz hiro has a big round face and a small mouth like a carp, also guv is short for governor, which is from england and its a term i think was mainly used by people of lower class.

When Hiro is trying to tell him about destiny and all that crap and Kensei is drunk, he says "when you talk, you look like a fish" and after a few seconds like a big carp.

From that point on, he keeps calling Hiro a carp now and then

LOL, its amazing how much we elaborated on this. Anyway just reading this topic kinda makes the Hiro and Takezo friendship kinda sad. Its like they became good friends, and then well, you know what happened. Hiro screwed up the timeline and his friendship with Takezo by kissing Yaeko.. and now everything will go downhill, all the way to the future/present...

i wonder if Tekezo kensei/Adam will call Hiro 'Carp' in the future, it will be funny

I'm from England, I've never heard anyone say 'Guv' except in horrific portrayals of London in America films or videos in History class about the Victorian era.

I think Kensei called Hiro 'carp' as a term of endearment, because of how he looked like a fish when Kensei first met him, like, a chummy buddy name, much like you would call one of your friends 'dude' or I would call someone 'sparky', even though they obviously do not throw off sparks

truth is, I'm kinda feeling mad at hiro now for kissing Yaeko and ruining history. He should've gone home before they attacked white beard but he chose to stay because he was in love! man! But then, maybe the future was changed because of what Hiro did.

But then, don't you think this is what made Kensei a bad guy? See, granted that he can never die (except if his brain die) like claire. So he never grows old, he would stay that age until someone bashes his brains out... so he forwards to the future and still carry that load which Hiro gave him.

Hiro has to step up to become a dragon... OK let's say the future changed cause of what Hiro did. If that were the case, Ando wouldn't be reading the scrolls; season 1 wouldn't have happened the way it did... Didn't you people see Back to the Future!?!?!?! If Hiro's kiss disrupted the space-time continuum, he would be fading away....


Kensei is not Adam. Kensei is Linderman.
Hiro is the real Kensei. That is what his father was going to tell him.

back to the future was another way of presenting what could happen in the future if the past was altered. But I believe that no matter how the past is altered, the same bunch of people will still appear, in a different way of course. Hiro would still be in the future, but maybe it would in a different way... like he won't be Kaito's son... or what.

that's just me though.

But Kensei can't be Linderman. Linderman can't heal himself, but others?!

Or didn't he show his full power? Maybe Claire will be able to do the same then...later on...

I don't think so. The show would be too much if they all develop more power. One Peter and one Sylar is enough.
