Who is the guy on the right?
At first glance I thought it was HRG, but he's not wearing glasses...
Any ideas?

The DOKTOR
The sign is a warning for biohazard. It has been used on the poster for the movie 28 Days Later but it is used internationaly, like the radiation sign. There also is (or was) a heavy metal band called Biohazard who used to use this symbol as their logo.

Yep, I guess it means that the area is infectious. Like Bio hazard...

I think that Peter is just looking through a window/glass something and the biohazard sticky thing is on the inside, so as mentioned earlier that there is a mirror image of "Biohazard".. if you asked for that. : O

Wonder which heroes will still be alive then..?

Probably Claire and Adam. Though maybe most of the survivors are "special"

of the 8 of 8
I wonder why its important?

The New Episode confirms that the dude in the picture is just a means of explanation for the Future situation

sometimes the paintings aren't neccessarily 'important'.. just things that happen in the near future..

take season one for instance, there were a few painting of things that came to pass, like the fire claire ran into to save a man..

The painting represents what'll happen if the virus doesn't get contained. The only one who'd be able to understand it at the moment is Peter - and us viewers, I suppose.

The entire chain of events deals with the sequence that happens around the virus outbreak. Hiro's father's death, which prompts Bob to suggest using the virus in his own defense - Claire getting herself revealed to the Company with that stunt of hers - the vial of the virus that Niki ends up injecting into herself - Peter's visit to the future with the virus - etc.

Now, it seems even the Mohinder/HRG paintings are included in that arc. The Company wants Claire for her regenerative ability. HRG wants them nowhere near her. Bob gives Mohinder a gun...

Yeah I have to say you're right. If Claire really does have the power to help stop the virus... Then "save the cheerleader, save the world" would really come true! Not that it hasn't... But yeah.

Anyway how long has the company known about the virus? They should have used Adam's regenerative capabilities to try to cure it long ago! When he was still in captive I mean.

I don't think they know the virus can spread yet, it was only Shanti that time who was infected. So the mutation of that virus came a bit later. All they know was Mohinder has the anti-bodies. They were even surprised that the blood can't cure Nikki, because originally the plan was to inject Maury and Mohinder will heal him. But that didn't work so Bob, with months of research, thought that regeneration can cure the virus. So they have to bring Claire in to experiment on her blood. That is why the company wants noah to give Claire to them when she manifests her ability (they don't know when that was but they found out when Ted radiated their home and Thompson arrived there.) But noah doesn't want to give her up, he even said to Claire that the company will stick needles in her and lock her up in a cell... so he knows that Claire is an alternative source for a cure in case the virus will mutate.

They can't experiment on Adam, because he became too powerful for them, right? that's why he was locked up. we don't know still how his powers could mutate into something else... after 400 years, Im pretty sure it mutated.

im pretty sure the story line goes to what you say and that Adam's abilities have matured and grown stonger
but i don't agree that much with HRG knowing about claire's blood being the cure for the side effects of the modified virus
