Yeah, you're right. BUT, only deep track Star Trek fans would have ever noticed that reference. In any event, I think they were also paying homage to the original -- and to Masi's interest in ST. Remember when Hiro gave Mr. I-sock (Isaac) the "live long & prosper" hand sign at the bus stop?

BTW, did you notice the car itself? A Maybach. That's one hot luxury car -- and mega-expensive at ~$390,000 USD (give or take $10k).
