Full Version: Opium
Hiro could not use his teleportation ability until the opium was moved away from his face.. Does anyone think that opium, or other drugs will be used to stop heroes from using their powers in future episodes?
i doubt it has anything to do with opium specifically, any sedative drug would probably do the trick as the power wasnt altered but the user was (high)

exactly lol.
Hiro couldnt focus so the opium had to be removed in order for him to focus ^^ and teleport out of here

Yea, so what I'm saying is I think that in the future... do you think any of the bad guys will use drugs as a way to stop the heroes from using their powers, temporarily, but long enough to kill them?
hmm i don't think so.
I think it only worked on hiro as his power requires great concentration.....a cheek wobbling level of concentration.
nathan would still be able to fly while high...albeit not in a very straight line and would probably face plant into the sidewalk.
as we've seen with peter...other heroe's powers don't seem to require too much concentration...peter is giving of sparks without even knowing it. (lucky he doesn't live in a powder keg)
maybe opium would work on matt though...or they could just use a doughnut.

Opium only works on those with powers who need great concentration as beddal said. For those like Peter it wouldnt stop him.
With Isaac it was the opposite, at the beggining his powers only worked when he was drugged. 
Hiro didn't touch the old man to teleport.

Heroin does change your mood and ability to think, so I think it would very well influence Peter. Not saying he wouldn't be able to re-call any power, but he Hiro's power or telekenesis might be quite hard. Maybe he would recall other powers then he woudl want to.
Now for one who it surely wouldn't effect is Claire and Adam, don't even know if they could get drugged. DL would be another example.
A drunk or drugged Micah would be fun, some drunk starts talking to computers! and it works! Ofcourse, that could never happen with Micah being underage and all.
