You know how Bob asked Mohinder to find Claire as she can help stop the virus, I was thinking why Bob doesn't use their samples of Adam, I mean, before he escaped, they did perform a series of tests on him didnt they? Tell us what you think.

Obviously both Claire and Kensei can regenerate. Why would Claire be any different?

This is a TV show, there has to be some kind of plot.

well its probably because adam never let them take samples, for one, and on a technical note adam doesn't seem to have a the same "exact" power as Claire, Adam is immortal, Claire can regenerate, it's kind of like splitting hairs, but there is a difference. she is still slowed down when she gets hurt but adam barely even flinches, he got impaled with a sword and only laughed. claire's blood provides antibodies to illness, disease, and injury, while adam's only keeps him alive. So maybe his dna can actually be stopped by the virus or else Bob wouldn't be going through so much trouble into making it into a weapon, where Claire's dna would find an ammunity to it.

If you remember season 1, when ted sprauge blew up the bennet house she came out walking and healing seconds later, but in season two "out of time" we see adams charred body with no signs of regeneration.

So their powers are similar but different.

I see. So apparently Claire's regeneration ability is immune to the virus while Adam's immortality ability isn't I personally think that this may be a minor plothole. Anyway, on with the show...

Claire's a young woman they can capture, while Adam is a 400 year old genius with a grudge. Also, we know where Claire is, or at least can find her without too much trouble. Adam -- is somewhere in Montreal with Peter (which Bob presumably doesn't know atm)

And as he also explains to Nathan, Adam is the leader and uses others (such as Maury) to
do his nasty work...
adam doesn't actually need to have any powers if he is able to control the people WITH
powers to do his bidding...

My personal opinion is that Bob wants to use the virus to stop Adam. The only way he can test to see if he's got a strain that'd work, though, would be to use it on someone else, someone less dangerous, and see if their powers survived the infection. Someone like, say, a teenage girl who doesn't want to kill him.

No, they would have the same ability.

The reason they locked him away was not because he had any special powers, but that he had charisma.

Charisma is a far more deadly weapon than any ability - to be able to convince others and get them to do your deeds is a potent weapon, especially when you are practically invincible.

Immortality, in reality, is spontaneous regeneration. The way he heals is exactly the same as Claire, so stop splitting hairs. Also, because of his ability his cells would be immune to random mutations, ruling out him having any other abilities. Same goes for Claire, as shown by the massive radiation exposure.

I would say they need to find Claire because when you take blood samples and DNA, you don't tend to take the anti-bodies as well, just a blood sample and perhaps a cheek swab (after all, he was one of them). They didn't know they needed a cure until they had tested it, as they assumed they had a cure.

No plot hole, just stating the obvious facts really. Now stop assuming that everyone needs an ability to do everything, it's really bad form to ignore the basic history of humanity in favour of powers.

And 400 years is a long time to practice his charisma skills
