"Come back and finish your cereal!"
Parkman took a creepy first step in becoming as powerful as his father! I loved his story tonight as much as everything that happened in Costa Verde. You could see Parkman furiously considering his new ability as he watches Molly obey his commands. He seemed to enjoy the new trick on his boss. Then he made Mrs. Petrelli bleed from the nose... and he got the name! Even after she said "...you are your father..." Is Parkman heading in a darker direction? Will his new powers corrupt him or will he remain a hero? I'm loving this story line and can't wait to see what happens next!

mrrr...i was SO MAD AT HIM FOR THAT!!!
-sigh- i guess like father like son, no matter what you try to do about it.
Well at least Parkman is actually interesting now. if evil....in the "for the greater good" sort of way.

omg msmarvel...i love your avatar. ok, so it has nothing to with the thread, so...
It would also seem that Matt's power is, perhaps...more powerful (and by that, i mean useful) than even Eden's. Since he can do it from a distance, and doen't have to be overt about it.

I always attributed that to him being a cop, so he would choose the "law and order" side.

Matt is almost certainly going to be a villain, but I think that Molly will have something to do with his eventual redemption.

um, lets see. shoots Bennet, beats PHiro, shoots FHiro, had to notice boss turning into sylar, how do you miss something like that?
That's not very copish or law-and-orderish behavior

He stole the diamonds in the episode "Run" and gave it to her unfaithful wife. In Five Years Gone he's working for an evil president.
Anyway, can he inject memories? I think I heard it sometime in the episode. Matt and the Haitian would be a good tandem then (like in Five Years gone, but for evil purposes)

Ive always liked matt's character and he seems to be one of the more down to earth and realistic personality's.
However i remember mentioning mind control for the new villain power thread ages ago and it looks like we will have some mind control, yay.
Although its really really hard not to abuse that power. Matt will have a difficult time with this.

I've kind of disliked Matt since "Five Years Gone", and I feel his character will move steadily in that evil direction.
As for the aforementioned Matt/Haitian tandem idea... What do you think of the Haitian? I don't think he's evil, just kind of looking out for himself, with a dislike for the company, and no REAL attachment to the rest of the heroes.

I was disappointed with Matt. He always thought he would do what is right, not abuse his powers like his father, the man he hated his whole life. He is becoming just what he father said he would.

Matt is slowly but surely turning into Maury. Too bad. He abandoned his wife and son so he can "take the company down". Now that he found and imprisoned his father and gave him up to the company what is he searching for? what is his motive? I'm not sure all his doing has anything to do with finding Kaito Nakamura's assassin.

About the scene between him and Angela...
Maybe i'm reading too much into the camera shots, but i still want to know what Angela's powers are, so...
When she is trying to resist Matt's powers, there is a shot of her looking down at her hand (which was restrained against the chair). Did she want to run? Maybe, but i'm thinking she was going to try to use her own particular brand of persuasion on Matt, which it appears that she needs physical contact to do. I mean, she /was/ doing a good job at resisting Matt. But then again, maybe i'm reading too much into it.

yeah, Matt character development is getting better and better all the time. When he was with his two- timing wife, he was just a pain to watch. Now, he's interesting. I too didn't like future Matt when he turns into a rogue bounty hunter kinda guy.

I think Parkman is kind of 'too powerfull' now, I mean telling people what to think and do, he can achieve anything. Something tells me he's going over-use this ability somewhere along the line and it will have horrible consequences.

maybe he'll (unintentionally) put molly in danger that may eventually lead to her death or something serious happening to her since she is the only one he cares about right now
yeah i can see that happening
btw i like where his character is going at this point

After the "eat your cereal" scene I turned to my friend during the commercial and said, "Matt's going to die." His power just seems... too big for the scope of things.
I hope I'm wrong because I rather like Matt. But I don't like where he's headed.

I think that someone who is sufficiently strong-willed will be able to resist Matt's mental suggestion. Observe how Angela Petrelli seems to strain herself and having a nose-bleed, which is a classic signs of someone resisting a mental attack.
Psychic NosebleedBut I guess Angela's resistance is not strong enough, seeing that she leaked the name of the person in the picture =p

i think matt had that creepy look when he told molly to finish up her cereal was because he was shocked and scared of what he's able to do. on him with his boss and angela, i think he's just trying to do what he thinks is right. i'm sure his intention on getting victoria's name was not to harm but to safe her from adam. he did want to save angela so i dont think he means to harm anyone. he could have killed his own dad for doing what he did to molly but why just trap him in his nightmare? i doubt matt's turning evil.

If we can trust his nightmare (caused by Maury), we could see that he knew that the baby was his but it seems that his wife told him otherwise because she knew he could read her mind and know the truth. In the episode from season 1, in the future they did show that Noah was helping Matt's wife and son, I guess it's because his son had developed abilities. Everything sees to point at the fact that not only the child is his but he also knows it. He simply can't get over the fact that his wife cheated on him and that's why he's separated with her.
