Overview...

I go on a limb of saying this was the best episode this season BY FAR (and a top 5 episode all-time), the writers did such a tremendous job building up the Noah Versus Bob arch of the story. Infact, I'm sure this episode worked so well that Noah versus Bob is going to be an on going storyline into next season.

Masi Oka proved why Hiro has been so missed this season, the depth and sheer genius of his character is untochable. Hiro going to investigate and accept his fathers death was instant classic, the scence with Lil' Hiro was great, kudos to the writers.

Parkman exploring his abilities was also a bright spot just because it instantly because this is the moment that we realize that Parkman true indeed is another powerful hero. His scences with Angela all have been great, and this one was even better. It shows that Angela is also one of the more stronger characters in this show, not based on her actually abilities, but because of her knowledge of others with abilities.

Overall great show and makes me not feel so bad about the season ending early. I think this will give us a bigger and better season 3.

Classic Moments...

Parkman looking like he crapped his pants, after Angela stopped him from placing a thought in her head again.

Parkaman to Molly; "Come back and finish your cereal!" CLASSIC!!!!

Hiro meeting Lil' Hiro.

Noah's regeneration scence.

Noah's "Sting like a bytch" line.

Bob findind Claire at school then dropping the ball and calling her "Bennett" instead of "Butler".

Bob with yet another "Call Me Bob" line...I'm telling you, they should make a shirt for that.

Noah regenerating like Claire then using the same "Holy S*it" line.

Insite...

I think the next episode will fade away from the Noah/Bob/Elle/Claire/Mohinder storyline, and fade into the Peter/Adam/Hiro/Parkman storyline.

[Rant Alert] As usual we will be forced to watch yet another bs Sylar/Maya storyline angry.gif ! If you want my honest opinion, they should have kept Sylar off of this season. He was the most feared in Season One, now he is a powerless c***. Further more, I have to say that Sylar hasn't been the same since that one scence with his Mom...made him seem to desprate.[/Rant Alert.]

Predictions

Next Episode, Sylar gets his powers back and kills Maya's brother. But he won't kill Maya. Why? I'm not sure.

They save the world from the Shanti virus in episode 10, but in episode 11 a bigger evil will rear it's big ugly head, which will leave us with a cliffhanger until season 3.

so is season 2 definitly ending early?
One_Hiro
Yes. But I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't bring the show back around spring time. The strike should be resolved sometime soon.

First, yes, I agree. The Sylar/Maya/Alejandro storyline is just a complete waste of time. Much like Nikki's constant suffering (and achieving nothing), it just drags on and on and on. But I suspect the writers have something huge up their sleeve for Sylar. Or maybe I just hope so after so much "buildup."

And second, yes, I agree (again): best episode ever (not just this season - this was more entertaining than last season's finale). I think it may very well be due to everything having to be compressed into the remaining 3 episodes but this season was very high-paced. There were no long-winded conversations and even the emotional moments were to the point and not too sappy. I wish all of the episodes were like this one but I imagine that if the writers were expected to keep this pace, they'd be out of ideas half-way through the season.

All Sylar need is his power back. Then please kill off the twins....Seriously. Peter did so much in 8 episodes, and what did Sylar do in 8 episodes, lets see aye?

He sylar'd Candice, then found the twins, then sylar'd some dude call Derek and got into US. Wow that's SO MUCH more interesting than Peter's storyline

But yea i agree, this episode is one of the best episode of the series and without a doubt the best episode of this season

Does anyone realise we have to stop calling Noah HRG from now onwards? Its time for us to drop the name. Assuming the writers know very well how healing works, Noah will now have perfect vision and no need for his HRG. So yup, no more HRG, unless the writers forgot that healing includes perfect vision and give him back his glasses.

I've been noticing that a lot of people have been calling him Noah now instead of HRG, glasses or no glasses - myself included. HRG is the Company operative, the man who killed Ivan, sinister and perfect. Noah is Claire's dad, and this last episode? That was 95% Noah. Love it.

What is it with people assuming that characters are only good when they have powers? I like the current Sylar storyline. In my opinion, it shows that he is one of the best characters even without his powers.

Because it makes Maya rely on him - he will have Alejandro's power to control her. He could just steal her power, but this means that if anyone kills him, they die too.
My bet is they stop the Shanti virus, but Maya's powers do something scary at the end of episode 11.
SleepingPhoenix
They better do /something/ with her power, because they messed up what could have been a very good, Heroes-esque "OMG" moment - having us all believe that the virus that kills everyone in the future is Maya gone amok, then revealing it to actually be the Shanti virus.

I reckon Sylar will get his powers back in the last scene of the final episode, hence the cliffhanger.
boogerface

qinrawks
It was a freaking awesome episode. More more more!! I can't wait for next weeks. A Daddy Issues episode, love it!
