I don't think she called West. I think West was just waiting for Bennet on his own.

I was thinking that only because she shut the door in a /very/ weird way with a regretful look on her face. And it was after she pulled away from him.

I noticed that slap. Maybe George Takei didn't want to get slapped, anyway- all they did is change the frame, and add a sound effect. Low point of the show.
