Bob and Peter kept talking about the next 24 hours.. I'm not really sure what they're talking about.. Is the Shanti Virus going to be released in the next 24 hours? If so, how did Bob know??

Pratt mentioned him having help on the inside
that and the fact that Peter was put in the cell next to him...

i was implying that Bob might have been the help on the inside. Peter told Adam that the Shanti virus will be released in 24 hours.
It is possible that Bob
was in contact with Adam; perhaps he had a change of heart and decided to help Mohinder, or maybe he just wants a cure that he can give to the people in the company...
(Unless there were no other cells or he was just being stupid, then why else would he have put Peter in the cell next to Adam?)

your answer is based on the fact the HIM is Adam ... the question was how does Bob know not Adam LOL!

I guess Peter knew because he went to the future.. But Bob?? He seems to know everything.. Maybe the company has all of Isaac's paintings and one of them shows when the virus is released.
Actually, releasing the virus goes against the company & Bob wouldn't be able to survive it. I don't think he wants to release it.. He just knows about it but isn't doing much..
Yeah I agree it's pretty stupid to put Peter in the cell next to Adam's. Maybe it wasn't deliberate..

Even more stupid to build the cells so they can communicate. I mean, they have rock solid walls, but leave enough for communication between the two?

Actually, i don't remember any real evidence (even with Peter going forward to 93% dead land) that could give /anyone/ a firm timeline on when the virus was to be released.
I think thats a writer's room thing of "uhh...we need a deadline." "Yeah! Quick! Write one in!" "Give it to Peter, no one will notice."
btw, my memory just may be a bit hazy, but when did Bob say anything about the virus being released in 24 hours?

He said the next 24 hours are critical for Claire, implying that they should be mourning and definitely confirm his death and not investigating the circumstances etc.

Then Bob's 24 hours isn't about the release of the virus, isn't it? I guess the writers put his 24 hours in to conveniently converge two parts of the plot at the end of this 24 hours with Peter's 24 hours.

I thought the next 24 hours was critical for Claire because if the Shanti virus was released, they might need her blood.. Hence, Bob asked Elle to keep an eye on her

I don't remember Bob knowing that the virus would be release. Did I miss something?

Maybe Bob knows that Peter is helping Adam and that within the next 24 hours something (the virus) is going to be released if everybody doesn't work together to find it. I was also thinking that when Peter traveled to the future he asked the guy who captured him when the virus was released. Or his mom could have told him. But for Bob, he knows what Adam is after and knows that if he doesn't find him soon something bad is going to happen. I guess we will all have to wait and see until Monday!

The obvious premise is that, according the what happens in the future, Peter & Adam release the virus on that day... But the problem is, they release the virus on that day because of the information Peter gained by being in the future and hearing that the virus was released that day!!

I just went and watched Peter's opening scene in "Out of Time" and the guy he's talking to tells him that the first outbreak was reported on March 20, 2007. I suppose that in the current time, it's the 19th.

I think when Victoria said "he had help" she was referring to Adam. That was when Hiro travelled back to 1977 and heard Victoria saying to Kaito that Adam could've not gotten to the virus 138 if he hadn't had help from the inside. (maybe referring to Maury)

Bob was refering to Elle watching over Claire and make sure she doesn't try anything crazy.. since she'd be in mourning, and perhaps 24 hours, was a number he used because his "research has shown that during the first 24 hours, people get most irrational"(i just made that up, but you know he and his researching thingys, like how he told Nikki about research discovering powers can results in split personalities bla bla bla).
24 hours by Peter... probably because in the future, that chap (whoever that is in charge of the quarantine area) might have told Peter in a off-screen conversation about when the virus is released. Or perhaps it very well could've been on screen, but anyway..
Don't think Bob knows the virus will be out in 24 hours, if you see his conversation with Mohinder, his perception is the virus will NEVER get out for a LONG time... He seems to have a lot of faith in the security of the Company, when he himself is quite a blundering guy.
