With all these biblical references, is it possible that we missed claire as the spotless(virgin) lamb whose blood saves the world?

Maybe far fetched, but it just hit me huh.gif
Archis
Lol. Really?

I think the biblical references are there if you look for them.(I only notice the names) I wouldn't call em overt and I don't think the show will ever take that approach. But um yeah...you're reaching with the claire thing..but I don't think its out of reach. tongue.gif She could turn out to be a christ/messiah of sorts especially if she goes public.

The DOKTOR
I don't think they explicitly mean it that way but I am sure the biblical references are not coincidences...

Okay... you start!

I like the idea of Claire repairing the damage that Adam caused - they are both of a kind. It would separate moral rightness and wrongness from any specific ability and land it back in the "it's all how you use it" camp.

Claire as Christ, though? For the analogy to really be complete it'd have to be more than just a healing factor in her blood. It is a neat catch, though, nice job (I didn't think of it).
CoffeeDiva
So like..if Claire did it...and her hyman broke...it would repair...every time...right? So...its like perpetual virginity...whoa..

Peter, on the other hand, would definitely fall under Christlike, granted he absorbs all the powers that Christ had, and, Sylar=the antichrist, cuz he can like, get the powers, and then, yeah, w.e. lol laugh.gif
Luk3
Lol, Sylar as an anti-christ. Every time i read a thread it gets more to do with bible stories and what-not.

By talk of Christ, just to be sure, we are talking Jesus?

Wasn't he a dude...?

And isn't she...not a dude?

Is that the reason why her car was stolen? So she would have to walk everywhere like the Prodigal Son?

Wow...we are going so DEEP in this thing!!!!!

More you say?

She was raised by others when the actual "Father" held power over all (being that, in the future, Nathan become president)

Her father saved the family (who happens to be named "Noah")

Was forced to leave their home to another.

Has the power to heal others.

People are after her because of who her father is.

You know, this started as a joke....I'm not sure where it's going!

Eh yeah
I Didn't see, even if see saves the world, what it would have to do with her sexual status
It is so like the chliche like say said in that movie, only the virgins survive. And the ones who had sex, are always the bad guys and would die.
I was more wondering, which Year do we have? 1800? 1900? ^^

When Claire cut her toe, the nail regenerated, but when Elle cut Peter's hair, they stayed short.
It seems that the regeneration is "selective"... Do you imagine Adam / Claire / Peter with uncuttable hair and nails ?

When Claire cut her toe, her toe regenerated because she's like a "lizard" or Jesus as this forum so states blink.gif . With hair...yeah it is cells, but it's not like one is healing. Also keep in mind though that that was back when Peter was "imprisoned" by the company and they were giving him drugs to disable his abilities. Maybe he couldn't grow his hair back because he was powerless. He probably can now, but he just doesn't want to.

If people can look past the literal sense of my comparison to the analogical, which is a referenced theme in the show, often noted by viewers, then perhaps you'll understand. We've equated just about every character in the show with a character in the Bible, mostly by name, some by their abilities. IS it not possible to do the same with Claire..she was, in volume one, the one to be saved, in essence saving the world and her blood does give life?

Am i saying she's Jesus Christ the son of God? Ummmm, duh, no! but I'm saying if we are gonna parallel characters to Biblical characters, then this is where Claire, perhaps, would fit in.

It was a thought meant to provoke more thought and prompt discussion, not non-sensical banter, geez!

Are you against us having a little fun?
boy_unplugged
lmao

seriously, if i ever thought this show had anything to do with anything "biblical" i'd double over...

i can see how one may take these stories as mythology, but to compare it to that story book bible is hilarious.

laugh.gif

scientology makes more sense than that.

also... Claire is a charachter on the show. The discussion of her virginity is both pathetic and disgusting.

dueces dolts
GIBBY
Tbh with you the bible does share many similarities with Heroes. If you think otherwise than do a bit of research.

You have connections that can be made with both story and episode titles,... and even character names.

But I wouldn't associate Claire with Jesus,.... I see Linderman as having more similarities with that role,.. he is afterall a healer. Plus was instrumental in bringing the founding 12 together(Jesus brought the 12 disciples together). Now we even have an apparent resurrection of Linderman now. Sooooo..
boy_unplugged
well, one good story could steal from another i guess...

it's been done.

but to be reasonable... there were no talking snakes on Heroes...

GIBBY
Obviously,.. but the writers have made significant attempts to replicate things from the bible. Numerous episodes are named after parts of Bible,... Genesis, Exodus. Plus many characters share the same names as biblical charatcers. For something to have similarities with something doesn't mean it has to copy everything and be the exact same.

Plus its more symbolism than copying tbh. Many movies, TV shows, books and comics have had symbolism relating to the Bible before.
