As much as I love Sylar, I feel there really isnt any more need for him. He's run his course. There are much bigger threats than him now and his story was really dull this season, he didn't have any powers and was seperated from the others (except for the wonderless twins though) and they need to get rid of him, maybe just for a litte while (while ZQ films Star Trek maybe) so they can build him up again or put an end to his story-line.

It may of been bland this season, I don't it's any reason for it to stop. Just knowing that he's evil himself and not because of his powers is just awesome.

I said it before and I'll say it again, they should keep Sylar alive. Get rid of him one way or another for a while, OK, but there should always be the threat of Sylar coming back with full power. He's like the Joker to Peter's Batman; the evil side of the same coin. He's Peter nemesis, much much more than Adam...

Yeah he's evil and all but without his powers he isn't really
that threatening, he's not the deadly threat he was last year. Like I said they don't have to kill him off maybe just take him away for awhile, so than they can rebuild the character to the evil *beep* he was last season.

Did anyone else notice that the intro to this episode is slightly different ? Notice the green lights instead of yellow flashing out ?

Yeah, I know, I'm not saying Sylar should be there every season as the main villain. But when I compare Peter/Sylar to Batman/Joker I mean that usually, the best villains are those who resembles the hero the most but are driven in the opposite direction. Peter and Sylar have almost the same power but we all know Peter is ''the good one'' while we've seen Sylar being almost more evil now without powers than he was last season.
In my mind, the natural opposite to Peter is Sylar and like I said, I wouldn't mind having Sylar being put aside for a long while but he should remain alive because I feel the Peter/Sylar conflict is far from being resolved. I can't wait to see more new villains emerge in the future but I also would like to see a new confrontation between the two nemesis...

The thing I liked was his addiction to getting his powers back. I still think my favorite part is when he was talking to Alejandro and laid out his whole plan to him. "I'm going to kill you and then your sister." d*** sinister!

sorry, it's not that I have anything against Sylar, IMO his thrill has worn off... but in chap 11, I guess he's getting back into his usual scary self (esp the scenes with Mohinder)

I agree that what made Sylar entertaining has largely worn off for now. However, that said, Zachary Quinto is a great actor and valuable member of the cast and thus shouldn't be chucked aside simply because his character currently isn't as menacing as he once was. My suggestion is to give Sylar a cooling off period (which coincides with Quinto's Star Trek role) after which he makes a return more dangerous than ever, possibly either with his powers mysteriously returned or with some new tricks up his sleeve.
Alternatively, what needs to happen is for Sylar to receive some character development to explain why he isn't a constant antagonist against the 'good guys'. By doing so, this allows Sylar (and Quinto) to appear in the central plot without fighting against the protagonists and subsequently lose. Overexposure aside, such repeated failures runs the risk of making him cliched and pathetic since he can't seem to ever win. An example of this is with the character Spike from Joss Whedon's Buffy series in which his character switches from villain to neutral and later to good. I'm not saying Sylar should ever be the best of chums with Hiro and company, but set it so that his presence is tolerated to a certain degree so that he serves as something other than a purely adversarial role.
