Full Version: Was that episode freaking awesome or what?
Got Heroes > Heroes: Episode Discussion > Volume Two: Generations > Chapter 11 - "Powerless"
Silentsoto
They not only managed to get some things wrapped up but they gave so many more things to wonder about for the volume to come!
The DOKTOR
I agree! Very satisfying (except that we still don't know about the elders powers but, hey...)! I loved it. It saved the whole season...
Silentsoto
Aw man, think about the long list of things we don't know the answer to. lol?

Hell there's plenty of unanswered questions about the Helix alone, did anyone notice that when the ashes from the virus blew away they made the helix sign on Peter's palm?

Or that the Helix on the sword glowed pretty bright when Hiro charged Peter?
Aerdna
I agree. Very awesome episode indeed.

*applauds*

Man, what a spine tingler.

I know, the whole helix thing to me is the core of Heroes' mystery...
Well, there's still more to come...

"Villians" is gonna rock, villans always have more fun either way. We'll see super Bad-a** Sylar again, This Kane guy that we all thought was going to be Kensei, The bad guy in new orleans for monica and micah to deal with, the guy who shot poor Nathan (has not been proven to be HRG yet, but whoever it is he better die a horrible death), and of course seeing Noah deal with being a bad guy again.
ReDeemer
You think so?

I wouldn't say it was "disappointing" but I also wouldn't say it was "freaking awesome"

Still..I just can't stop watching the bloody show

I was pretty disappointed with the finale. While I thought the beginning with Sylar and Mohinder was perfect tension and drama, and the ending was pretty good (who else thinks the gunman is Peter?), I thought the middle (mainly involving Micah, Niki and Monica, though the eventual showdown between Hiro and Adam was pretty crap too) was poor.

That's just me though.

The gunman is Peter? He was with Nathan on the podium when he was shot and while they saw the gunman walking away.

He can travel in time.

However, after re-watching the scene, I'm rescinding that theory - you can briefly catch Noah's glasses as the gunman walks away. The first time watching, I was convinced it was Peter by the way he walked - basically, I assumed that it would eventually boil down (in Volume Three) to Peter finding out that (through various paradoxical reasoning that I can't be bothered to formulate) he is the gunman, and that he must travel back in time to kill his own brother.

EDIT: Further speculation: There also isn't concrete proof that Nathan is, in fact, dead. If you think back to both Noah and Claire being resurrected by Claire's power, both were dead for, conjecturally, hours. It's entirely plausible that Mohinder could still provide blood for Nathan and thus resurrect him. Of course, said theory is crippled by:

- If Noah did kill Nathan, it's unlikely that he will allow blood to be transfused from Claire, and;
- It's likely that Sylar, Noah and Maya have used up the reserves.

I really thought this episode rocked. The way they were able to perfectly place the commercials in line with cliffhangars... that alone had me on the edge of my seat. Also, they were able to put in a whole lot of questions to keep us talking till next semester. Easily in my top three episodes of all time.

You mean Hiro and Adam's UNEVENTFUL showdown, lol. Yeah that part sucked, but i think it might have been edited with the knowledge that most of us already knew that was going to happen.

I know I said in a previous thread that it will be lame if they keep using Claire's blood to revive people....

BUT FRIG, they had BETTER bring my Nathan back!
halidaaa
i think it was a veRy good and veRy 'heRoes' ending.. got eveRybody wondeRing what will happen. making suRe eveRyone sticks to the show *including ones who claimed they would stop watching if theiR favoRite chaRacteR dies, haha!*

even so, i HATE niki's death.
i mean, DL was shot so easily, now niki just die in a fiRe?
what is it with the wRiteRs and niki's family? i mean, they should Really have some moRe supeRheRo-ish death.
i hope micah doesn't end up dead falling off the staiRs oR hit by a caR.

i like adam's ending biggrin.gif
kinda Reminds me of mR. sloan's ending in alias, though.. he too was buRied alive, although hiRo did it betteR--he even pRepaRed a coffin! such luxuRy foR someone so evil, heheh laugh.gif and sylaR's line in volume 3 pReview Reminds me of polteRgeist. "they'Re baaaaack.."
and nathan! oh i Really wish it was west who shot him. i mean, a cReepy stalkeR who tuRns out to be some loving, adoRable boyfRiend is just not 'heRoes' enough. they MUST have something moRe inteResting about this chaRacteR.

the way they left it, i think volume 3 is Really woRth the wait. i hope i'm Right.

I seem to recall he's already got adams blood pumping through his veins. Does it just stop working after being transfused in and heals? I'm no doctor but seems like blood takes a long time to process through the body to become anew.
Good episode...however (and I"m not naming names) *cough* Maya...*cough* Monica
other characters should have been sacrificed.

MisterKarma

ARGHHHHHHH....

hellblazer
it truly was the saving grace of the volume, never saw that ending coming
Enigma
although i didnt LOVE the episode, i thought it was pretty good. plus and most importantly, it did it's job in getting seemingly everyone excited and re-enegrized about Volume 3.

Agree agree!! a good mixture of humor, action, suspense, cuteness and cliffhangers!!!
Raekon
In my opinion it was a O.K. episode.
A bit more action (most of it lame but we are used to it so...), a few obvious flaws like always, bad writing to its best in a few things AGAIN.

The only good thing about this episode was that at least very few things got answered and there was more action than in the last seasons finale.

The thing that bothered me most was the Hiro vs Adam confrontation.

Adam has his sword on hiros neck but doesn't kill him, he just stays there talking a whole while about the "weather" and stuff letting hiro teleport him away in a coffin that is too small for two persons to be teleported in there (most of all since hiro is a little "bigger" then a average person) while we know that if hiro teleports someone than he has to teleport with that person.

I mean Adam killed hiros father, he sweared revenge (I will kill everything good in your life, I will destroy you) and then when the time comes and he has his sword on hiros neck while he knows that hiro can teleport him or freeze him anytime, he starts talking as if they were in a brunch. dry.gif
Sorry but it's way out of the character no matter what way you are turning it!
