We see that Nathan gets shot (by whom, we don't know yet), but we're presuming that he dies (or falls as the trailer for the episode suggests). This brings up an interesting point about Claire's (and Adam's) blood -- it only heals, it doesn't make someone transfused with her (their) blood able to do cell regeneration as Claire/Adam/Peter can. Allow me to explain.
In science, we know that red blood cells only have a lifespan of 120 days, and it has to be regenerated continuously from the bone marrow. So, if someone gets transfused with another person's blood (Nathan w/ Adam, HRG, Maya and Sylar w/ Claire's) that blood only stays in the body for 4 months (there's that 4 months again) before it dies and new blood cells replace it.
So following the timeline of Volume 2, Nathan being shot is around 4-5 months after the explosion above Kirby Plaza and around that timeframe as well after Adam infused his blood into Nathan that "cured" his radiation burns. So Nathan can "potentially" die from those two bullets in the heart.
Following this argument, Maya and HRG will not be able to regenerate after 120 days. As will Sylar after that period. He regained his powers (whatever is already there) but he does not have the ability to regenerate or heal himself again after 4 months. This should make some interesting storylines if Tim Kring did thought of that blood transfusion thing this way.
Note this is just speculation, based from scientific knowledge and the Volume 2 timeline.

Nice, you went and looked up the time frame for red blood cells! Great.
Another thing to keep in mind... 120 days is just a median number. Some cells take longer, some take shorter. We don't know anything about how much blood it takes to cause that kind of regeneration. So perhaps after only 60 days, enough of the cells have died off that that kind of mass regeneration isn't possible any more.
I really liked how you connected 120 days and 4 months. Coincidence? Perhaps, but infinitely cooler if it isn't. I'm very curious what kind of time will elapse between Volumes 2 and 3 (in the storyline, I mean, not IRL). If it's a sufficiently large number of days, then I doubt we'll ever get to find out how long the regenerative effects last, unfortunately.

I dont think the blood (claire's or adams) replaces the victims blood. Im sure theres a scientifical reason for what happens, im currently taking gr.11 bio. I cant seem to figure it out yet.

No, it doesn't replace their blood. Just circulates with it. So long as (enough of) those cells are living and circulating, theoretically, the person could still regenerate.

The correct timeline is that Nathan received Adam's blood "one month ago" in episode "Four Months Ago." Adding the time elapsed since then, total time since he was healed is only about two months max.
So if someone who receives blood can heal for four months, then Nathan should heal himself automatically!

Just to add to the whole "death" thing.
Remember the news report that Angela was watching?
"Nathan Petrelli was shot...."
Shot.....nothing about "killed."
Most reporters state the condition of the person. "Shot and killed....." and all that.
