Maya will live because there won't be a hot babe in the series anymore considering that Nikki died. LOL

Of all the goofs, loopholes, continuity errors and what nots anybody can find about Heroes, the one things that really really bothers me is the use of the miracle blood. I'm afraid the show might have jumped the shark if they keep reusing it...

To be fair, they have been using it for the last season - Claire, Peter.

The idea was even used in X-men, where Wolverine gave a sick Morlock a blood transfusion to heal her from an incurable disease.

I quite liked Maya's place in the story - Sylar is driven by an evolutionary imperative, one of the main drives of such a thing is the drive to reproduce. When he abandoned her to cure himself, it needed to be more strained in my opinion - although, by that point he may have decided that it was a wasted effort as she was so polarised against him.

With a dead brother, and being with Mohinder, Molly and Elle.. she'll probably stay on to be a sort of surrogate mother for Molly, helping Mohinder with his work.

The good thing about Heroes has always been that it isn't episodic, but works with long story arcs - Maya is a perfect example of this. She will come in to her own later on, but for now she helped with Sylar's (more Gabriel's) character development. Sylar and Gabriel are two distinct elements of the same person, with Sylar being the powerful, driven side of him and Gabriel the more gentle side of him, as shown by his interactions with Maya (and, also, his mother) as she understands him.

Just because she didn't exactly help with the action greatly doesn't mean she wasn't vitally important to the growing character of Sylar, making him more than a psychopath and more human, more flawed - hell, even making him likeable.

Hayden,Ali,Kristen,and even the girl who play's Monica is and will always be prettier than Maya in my opinion they always were....Claire yeah has her annoying moments but she is definitely not as annoying as Maya Maya whines more than Molly..... Like another poster said and I agree with them and sorry to all the women here no offensebecause I am a woman too but Maya is always PMSing and needs Midol 7 days a week, 365 days a year 366 if you count that leap year every 4 years sorry folks but it is the truth........

actually, even if maya was annoying because of her whining and crying, she was the most honest character in the series. That was how she is: dependent on her brother, a cry baby, easily feels guilt. She cries because she feels guilty, and she feels guilty because she's very religious, she's very religious because she's a christian (or catholic considering she's from latin america which was influenced by the spaniards who brought christianity).

So she cries. So what?

She's definitely not flat. Nope nope nope.

I'm not saying that they're lying, I'm saying your misinterpreting their words. Jessica (and Ali Larter) APPEARS in the season; this doesn't mean she's alive during it. Think of D.L. in season 2 or Chandra in season 1.

How about you guys give her a chance first?
It was obvious that the writers have more for her to do in volume 3 and probably had even more for her on the actual volume 3 named "exodus" which was replaced by volume 4 (Villains) now.

Other than that when you say she was whiney only because she wasn't comfy by killing everyone around by a single cry without being able to stop without help, then you obvioulsy either didn't looked good enough or didn't care to look behind the character at all.

Think how you would react in her position! Most of all if were grown up like her (very religious and closed).

On top of that, Claire was whiney for TWO SEASONS and you guys don't say anything similar but Maya is in a few episodes of a volume and you already want her dead?

I agree, Maya may not be a very developed character as of now but her power is incredible, so we should give the writers a chance to do something with her.

I couldn't agree with you more. It doesn't matter what nationality goes to what country, it's a free world! Ok, so if americans go to mexico, would you like to be discriminated there as well? In the show, they were able to cross the border because maya used her power. Hello? it's not that every mexican has a power to let them across the border. And their purpose of going to the US was not to work illegally, it was like a desperate move to find a cure for themselves. They will stop at nothing just to make themselves or maya for that matter, better.
besides Maya told sylar when they were alone in the grass at the motel, she said when they find dr. suresh and cures her, she and her brother can go back to mexico to their lives... so who said maya is desperately wanting to go the US?

We have seen the black eyes so many times without any point. She yelled "Alejandro", started to cry, and then ran. Then she yelled "Alejandro", started to cry and then ran...wait, did she really do still the same?

Seriously, if they won´t give her some storyline (what was her storyline-to bring Sylar to Mohinder? Didn´t Sylar bring her to him?) I think that her presence there will be pointless. It might be interesting to watch her to learn control herself....just not in every episode, please.
