I don't think he knows how to. We haven't seen him create nightmares (yet) have we?
he only trapped his dad in his own nightmare.

simple: Peter can do the same. It didn't work.

but if it didn't work cause peter has the power too...then why did he let go of Hiro when Matt 'told' him to. figured he used his power there to make peter let go of Hiro. If it didn't work because he has the same power than that shouldn't have worked right?
boy_unplugged
peter focussed his attention completely on Matt.

that's why.

but matts power is alot more advanced than peters the mind reading that is peter is still in the basic stage
remeber matts dad put matt in a nightmare so i think matt could put peter in one

How do you know that Matt's is more advanced? Maybe Peter's advanced too and we just were unaware.

Also has Matt ever put someone in a nightmare before? I don't recall, but I could be wrong.

totally agree on that, that's what I said. We've only seen him trap his dad in a nightmare his dad created. He has never created one on his own

we dont no that his dad created that nightmare and plus i tihnk they would hvae made a note that peter got that powerful with that power and i think that if peter gets as good as the poeple who origionaly had the power the show might aswell be re named the peter show

he let go of Hiro because matt was coming at him. of course he will face a new threat.

Why would the show be re-named if Peter's abilities advanced with those who originally had the power? I think we all know that if there's any hope for the heroes then it's Peter. Sylar matches up with Peter really well and that's one fight that I can't wait to see...anyhow, back on topic....

...You know how Matt kinda suddenly realized he could sorta tell people things via the mind (or something). Peter was doing the same thing in "Powerless", was he not? Were they not having a conversation of minds so to speak?

Ok I think some things need clearance here. tongue.gif

- Maury held Molly in that Nightmare, Matt just told him that this nightmare was the old place where they lived when Matt was a child.
The only thing that Matt accomplished was breakout of this nightmare because he noticed that this wasn't his.
His father was shocked to realize that the nightmare had created wasn't matts but his own (I know... dumb but in season two they made almost every character in the show be and act dumb dry.gif ).
So Matt broke out and Maury got trapped in his own nightmare(irony).

- Matts power worked on peter at first and made peter let hiro go. However, Peter absorbed and mimed Matts advanced power after he was in range. So the only thing Peter had to do was just use this power.

- Peter has the dissandvantage that as a mime, he just absorbs/copy the powers the way they are and mimes them as they are.
That means that if someone elses power evolves, that person would have to have another "meeting" with peter so peter can absorb the evolved power and use it.
Otherwise peter just has and uses the "old" unevolved power he got before.

The reason why is that he isn't the main host of those powers, he is more a "borrower".
In that case, he can regenerate after he gets injured thanks to claire (and now even faster thanks to Adam) but his blood (except if the writers mess up on that aspect as well...)can't ressurect anyone.

i think in powerless it was more like peter was thinking his thoughts more than anything and i am just getting sick of the entire show revolving around peter i no he is powerful but still matt has a very strong power why not advance his a bit more than they have
Cylar
Peter didn't mind read, he didn't project his thoughts into Parkman's head. But Parkman picked it up cos he was using his mental manipulation power (yes I call it that now, since its no more just hearing thoughts but basically anything to do with the mind)

And I believe Peter can use the advanced form of any ability he absorbed without meeting the guy again. All he has to do is practice, which he does not. I think abilities get advanced via experience. Peter, who has a whole range of abilities, rarely focuses his attention on just developing several, thats why he, till now, is so... "noob" at everything, as compared to Sylar.

Mental manipulation is the name of the hatians power matts is called telepathy
Power Mimic
People think Telepathy only means hearing thoughts or reading minds, it's not.
The definition of Telepathy is: "Communication between minds by some means other than sensory perception."

And on the topic of "Matt Vs. Peter" - Matt was trying to put thoughts into Peter's head, but because Peter has the same ability, he can block it out. Just like when Matt was trying to read Peter's mind in Season 1 and barley could or when Matt tried to read his fathers mind.
