Well dont know about you but i watched the last episode about hundreds of times and pinched myself just to see that nathan had actually died. (After is stopped crying) Anyway, right at the end Angela Petrelli says

"You do know that you've now opened pandora's box"

Well, basicly she is saying ,your wishes will come true for who ever opens it. Pandora's box is a magical box that if opened will bring the opener all their wishes true. How amazing, does this mean that the person she is talking to is a baddy or a goody and will their wishes be good or bad. Will we ever find out. Anyway the world is full of questions so ill leave it to you to ponder over.

From what I have read and heard, Pandora's box contains the world's evils. When Angela tells the caller that they have "Just opened Pandora's box" I thinkn she means that they have just released something very very bad. You can tell from the context clues, that that is what she means. She is saying she understands why Nathan had to be shot, but she is also reminding the caller that now all hell is going to break loose because of the way they handled the situation. I am assuming that it means that Peter is going to become a bad a** and take down the people responsible, meaning the company.

The myth of Pandora's box, also includes some idea that along with the grief and evil, some element of hope comes out the box too, but generally, opening Pandora's box is very negative for the opener as well as the world.

Casting her eyes around she looked to see if Epimetheus could see her. He could not. Faintly the voices cried again. With a stern resolve she began to lift. The box, instead of being hard to open as she anticipated, opened easily.

Pandora was expecting to be able to look and see who or what had called her. Instead the creatures of the box flew out in a torrent. Round her head and body they flew quickly stopping only long enough to bite and sting. Each of them were hateful spiteful creatures. She tried to shut the lid to stop their rush for freedom but they had escaped. After they tortured her for long moments they flew off to seek Epimetheus. What had she done?

She cried softly as she sat on the green grass under the pale sun and leaned against the box. Tears stained her beautiful face and she hung her head in shame. For though the creatures had not identified themselves something in her knew who they were.

Her bitter tears were amplified by the screams of Epimetheus as he was attacked without mercy. Finally when his cries had faded, Pandora heard a small sweet voice ask, "Pandora, can you please release me?"

"Why should I? Didn't you see who they were?"

"Of course I did, they are my sisters. But I can assure you I am not like them."

Pandora who felt all was lost sadly opened the box. A beautiful sprite with gossamer wings flew shimmering into the sunlight. Round and round her body the creature flew lighting only when a sore was encountered. As the creature touched the hurt -- it was gone. When Pandora had been healed completely the creature flew to heal Epimetheus. Pandora sat back against the box and thought. Hope, she was certain that was the creature's name continued her healing.

In time the sprite flew back and rested exhausted on Pandora's shoulder. Pandora watched as the creature drifted painlessly into her flesh and took up residence in her heart. She knew she had been given the gift that, even though it could not erase the pain she had brought to the world, could make that pain easier.

She smiled a soft smile for knowing there is hope, and hope is sometimes enough.

its good how you read into it but its just a choice of words

for someone so bold in their statements, I would have expected better grammar and spelling.

3: You should never start a sentence with the word "And".

4: This should read:

So think about your own downcomings before getting on a high horse to put people down. The meanings of the phrase "pandora's box" are well known and are usually related to opening a can of worms, or generally just wreaking havoc on the world. Just chill out and stop thinking about it so much as im sure your not PHD material after reading your posts.

She was saying basically "You just made a BIG mistake." I assume.
In other words she understood it but all heck's gonna get at you.

as for the myth..it is said that when Pandora opened the box/chest that was assigned to her, al evils were released into the world of mortals..when she closed the box, all evils had alrdy been released..only one thing was kept inside the container and that was hope.. yeaa thatz how it goes...either way..itz bad thing that the box is opened..lol

yeah, the legend was that zeus i think gave pandora a box and told her never to open it. it was an explanation to why all the evil and what not got into the world

As for the whole Pandora's box issue...i think it was a threat but yano what Angella is like she never shows emotion so whatever she says could be seen as quite ambiguous i guess. I don't think she was very happy about Nathan being shot and is gunna be on a hellacious vendetta againts whoever was behind the shooting; most likely the company! Thats why i think her and Sylar's paths will cross; they could be united by the same goal, revenge against the company. Anyone else got any idea why they would end up working together?
