Can anyone here remember the exact moment they knew that they loved this show? For me it was the moment at the end of episode 3 when Claire awoke on the autopsy table. As soon as that happened I was like "

" then in the next episode when was saw Future Hiro I was convinced that this was one of the greatest show on TV.
What about you guys?

Before it was even released in New Zealand; haha sounds stupid, but yes.
I've always had a fascination with things/shows like this and I knew i'd love it. AND I DID.

After I'd seen a couple of trailers for it on BBC2, my mate said he's already seen it on Sci-fi and explained a bit about it and then I watched the trailer again and that's when I knew.

Yep pretty much the same for me! I was told about it by a mate and he had watched it on Sci-fi so when i heard it was on BBC i had to give it a watch and after episode 1 i was hooked!

Yeah but the difference is, as soon as I'd heard about it, I downloaded all the eps and watched them in one day.
A hellacious Heroes marathon! Sounds like a good plan to me!

When I saw a show about all the new shows on in 2007. I saw glimpse of the second half of the Heroes one and it was talking about a painter who can paint while on drugs, real people with powers...I liked the idea! It was a couple months before TV.

I just would not be able to last any sort of TV marathon without a ready supply of shortbread at my disposal; it just wouldn't seem right

You got anything? Coz It's slim-pickins' out there.
Indeed it is.

Im sure something will pop up eventually! Also, noticed the "bring back Claude" thing in quite a few sigs; it there like a movement or something to try and get him back?

I think it was the spiderman preview of it, but it looked amazing. I replayed Episode 1 recently and I can say that it was amazing to see how the characters developed. I think Mohinder's narration and Claire's death attempts were the things that attached me to the show at the beginning.. I think I loved the whole idea of them discovering their powers.

I liked it and continued watching Heroes until "Homecoming." Then, I really loved it.

i thought "this has got to be the best show on the face of this earth" after watching episode 21, the hard part
well, it was the scene when sylar visits his mother
really quite a well done piece of directing there

You wouldn't think I could get hooked after the start I had - the first season started a week or two after my baby was born, and I missed the first episodes because I was too tired to watch TV!
A friend then summarized the first two episides to me so well that I was actually able to follow the third one knowing who everyone was, what they could do and what their relationships were. I liked the show as a whole and was hardly able to pick a fave - until "Nothing to Hide", when Peter threatened to crash the family brunch by flying off the terrace and then saved Nathan's hide. That did it for me.

The episode that convinced me that this was at least the best show since the X-Files was "Homecoming". I think I started my first fanart after that.

Heh. Mohinder's narration couldn't get anyone hooked in Germany - I love his voiceovers in English but I only discovered them when I got the DVDs and was able to watch them in English. In German, his dubbed accent isn't different from anyone else's. It took me several episodes to realize it was Mohinder talking, too.

The first episode. It's a tie between "Oh my God, Bad Glasses Guy is Claire's DAD!" and "Jerky Politician Brother's the one who can fly, not Whiny Nurse! WHHHHHAAAT??"
