Remember when HRG and the Haitian try to kidnapped nathan and he flew away... my question is.. why the haitian doesn't block his powers ??? i mean... the haitian can control when he can block de powers or nathan's powers can't be block..

Maybe he wasn't focusing at the time? Although there's no reason why he wouldn't be. It's probably a plot hole. However, HRG and the Haitian didn't know Nathan's powers yet, so maybe they thought he was cornered (no reason for haitian to use powers).

I think this was already discussed in one thread... forgot where it is.

the Haitian can choose which power to block. and since he has an undying secret loyalty to Angela petrelli, he chose to let nathan go. the way he let peter escapes and never erased claire's memories.

I gotta agree with you Maxxann. The Haitian had to have let Nathan go. Its the only thing that makes sense considering everything else that has happened in the show. Peter couldn't use his powers when the Haitian was near him in S2. Funny thing is .. why didn't HRG pick up on that? No mention of why didn't your powers work on him, etc. Or why didn't you stop him, etc. I know the Haitian would not have answered, and they would have chalked it up to a fluke. The Haitian was able to block Parkman's powers from a distance. You would think with the close proximity to Nathan that he would not have been able to fly away.

I'm opting for he wasn't using his power on Nathan and let him go because of Angela. The only think that makes sense.

I thought it had to be a power using your mind. Because the hatian can block stopping time or telekenesis but he couldn't stop claude being invisible so he can't stop nathan from flying.

he stops the powers that are controlled souly by the mind, such as mind reading etc...

remember what he told peter that angela helped him so he let peter and nathan go do anybody watch the show

I think ur'e right, the haitian did'nt know he had that power, or maybe because of his loyalty to angela, as the others have said, he did not block his powers

My theory is that the Haitian can only stop the powers that can effect other people not effect the person that achely has the power for example the haitian carn't stop natans,claudes,claires etc you get the picture.
