In the teaser we see that it's clearly Derek who gets help up against the wall by Sylar and says "You don't remember me?" or "You can't hurt me" (It's difficult to hear)

I highly doubt that he's just brought back to be killed instantly.

So what role do you think he will play in Vol. 3? Will he be a Villain? Will he have powers? Will he seek revenge on Sylar?

I think he first seeks revenge on Sylar, but after he recognizes that Sylar is all too powerful, he might convince Sylar to let him live. I think he also will have a power, but maybe he understands what Sylar is up to and hides his power for Sylar.

Well, in the Rogue novel, he's off to Mexico doing something. I think that will be connected to Sylar somehow.

I hope he returns and turns into a baddie. He's awesome (mainly because he shares the same name as me - mine is Derek too XD )

Derek was the guy who stole Claire's car. He went to Mexico, and was arrested, landing in the same jail that Alejandro went to. When Maya saved Alejandro, Derek asked to go with them cause he had a car. So, they went with him, said car being the one he stole from Claire. They pick up Sylar, and when they go to a stop, Derek sees the signs saying that Maya and Alejandro are murders. He warns Sylar, but Sylar ends up (or at least, what appeared to be) killing him.

You know, it's possible that what we're seeing in all those trailers is Sylar dreams. I mean, with Derek, unless he had a power, he's just a ghost in Sylar's head.
Or maybe he just like killing him over and over and over again.

Also, why would Matt and Hiro in the trailers not have been Sylared?
Unless they were owned by someone else....

i think matt and hiro (possibly claire) could of been owned by the crazy guy who ripped out the cops heart and puts someone threw a window

although he would have to be really fast to get hiro so he probably has super speed

I don't think it is Derek...never did!

I would say they'd never bring back such a minor character, but look at Molly. She went from a season 1 nobody to one of the main supporting characters (for a few episodes) in season 2

Hiro and Ando: First of all, I will never get used to referring to a single person with a plural name.

But i have to agree. It is possible that the crazy new guy killed them. Who knows, there could be more crazy new guys, and gals, who are insane murderers with mad skills.

I can't really see how Derek could be alive and have a power unless he has the multiple man power. It is the only thing that makes sense to me.
