Yeah, there have been articles by several sources pretty much ever since Hayden turned 18 saying they were a couple.

It seems as if it's always a "family friend" or a "witness" who's doing the confirming though, so for all we know it might not be true, but if it is indeed true, congratulations to them and I hope people are able to respect their privacy

But I am also worried about the publicity that will come out of this. It could potentially wreck the chemistry between cast members on and off screen, and that's what makes this show so great

I doubt it...they can be very professional...and besides...they're actors!

It's true, they're actors and make the characters completely different entities, but sometimes knowing what's going on behind-the-scenes (say there was some kind of drama going on that became publicized) really wrecks the mood of it all. It's happened to me before with other fandoms, and it truly sucks. I want to appreciate them for their art, even if my respect for them as a person has died down a bit (I'm referring to my old fandom, by the way, not HaLo or any of the Heroes cast), but it becomes hard to see things the same after seeing what really goes on.

And even if you try to avoid it, it all gets shoved in our faces by the media in some form or another.

I don't see them as the actors anyway. I see them as the characters.
