Again, all italicized emphasis is mine.
"I wanted to pass on something that I got from John Aboud. It might help the folks that have questions about the latest rumors.
Members of the WGA negotiations committee and certain CEOs from the AMPTP are conducting informal talks much like the DGA committee and the CEOs conducted in the weeks leading up to the formation of a deal. As a result, the rank-and-file writers, the rest of the industry, fans and interested observers have very little information about whether the strike will drag on or end quickly. The best policy for everyone right now is to ignore the rumors and hearsay and just wait for an official announcement from one side or the other. Let's allow the two sides to do the hard work of forging a consensus that nobody loves but that everyone can live with. Now more than at any point since November 5, supporters of a fair deal must tell the AMPTP to negotiate in good faith and respect WGA members as partners in their business. Call or email the companies and politely (but firmly) let them know you look forward to a prompt and fair proposal."
Meaning, the two sides are talking again, but nothing definite has come out of this. Yet.
