I actually felt slightly bad for Nathan, but he's still a douche bag. He hasn't quite won me over yet. This is the math:

douche (Nathan) + douche (Meredith) = really cute non-douchy cheerleader (Claire)

Nathan kind of deserved the rock at his window. Claire should've done the same to Meredith's window.

I think the writers did intend for us to leave this episode with discourse for some characters... think it was a nice touch... cant have all episodes lovey-dovey, you know. Nice to mix up the emotions, humanize the characters more. Thats why I kinda warmed up to Sylar this episode... he is true to himself, his nature... he doesn't let emotions get in his way of WORLD DOMINATION!!! LOL

I kind of felt bad for Matt though. He really tried to protect that guy, and I honestly expected him to die in this one. Now I don't think he's got much of a career after hearing that one guy's thoughts.

The good thing about Meredith though was that when she was talking to Nathan she told the truth about Claire. I was afraid that Meredith would say a bunch of crap about Claire and Claire would hear it and hate her mother for it..and geez Nathan could have asked to see her

Nathan did ask very excitedly... "Is she here?" If Claire had been in the next room... he woulda seen her. He actually had tears in the Limo... He is jus following Mama's demands... their family first + the election... everything else be damned.

Well there has always been speculation that Sylar can in some way possibly detect powers I mean he found Molly hidden in the police station so maybe he could have used some kind of intuition to find Zane

No, she didn't. Meredith told Nathan that Claire came there with her bags packed and thought that Nathan was going to rescue Claire from her awful life. LIE! She tells Nathan that she told Claire that Nathan was a busy important man and he didn't want to have anything to do with her. LIE! (She did tell Claire that she couldn't count on her daddy for anything other than money because it was easy) Then she asks Nathan if she did wrong in telling her that? That she can call her and get her back there. Nathan hesitates and then says, No, you did just right.

Of course, our little Claire has overheard this conversation. No wonder she was so mad to throw a rock at his car.

I really believe that Nathan was hoping to meet Claire. I think that he was hoping at least to see her and maybe find out how he could get in touch with her in the future. I really think he would have tried and do something to help her in spite of what his Momma said if she had been there. He just kind of got scared when put on the spot, and remembered that he would be tossing his election and future career out the window if he pursued it. But I think that it made him sad to think that he had a daughter that he would never meet and who Meredith has not made him think doesn't want to see him.

I really think that this was a plan by Meredith to make sure that the two don't meet. After all, if they did and actually began a relationship, Meredith would lose her "cash cow". I figure that she came back to Texas to hit Nathan up again for money anyway and Claire's unexpected contact gave her the extra amo she needed.

I think that Nathan probably thinks that Meredith is going to share the money with Claire but she isn't. She told Claire that Nathan offered them $50,000 and he really offered them $100,000. Meredith told Claire that she was entitled to half (of the $50,000) which would have given Claire $25,000 but Meredith would have $75,000. But Claire said she didn't want his money which means that Meredith will take it all and may a fast getaway to Mexico. Unless, she again calls Claire and tries to get her to take the $25,000 but I don't really see that happening. She is listed as being in next weeks episode....probably making her getaway!

Anyone know how we can get her name put on the list if it is not already there and maybe send a message to Syler and let him know where to find her quick like? I would like to see Sylar pop top her head.

Well Meredith was truthful in that Nathan has just missed Claire and that she did want to meet him and she did show Nathan the picture that she took of her. Also if Meredith really didn't want Nathan to know about Claire then she wouldn't have made him look at the picture and the whole Claire had a bags packed was a little overexaggerated but it was true that Claire really did want to meet Nathan and I'm sure that she was secretly hoping that her real father would come and be this amazing guy that would be there for her. Meredith also said the truth about why Nathan came to Texas to just pay his money and go and then Meredith offered to call Claire and have her come back so that Nathan could meet her. However, it was Nathan that said no to that offer.

I know that Meredith is a conniving wench who obviously planned on duping Claire out of her fair share of the money but also I think there is a part of her that really does care for Claire. Also Nathan does come off as a jerk for refusing to see Claire but I think that if he did meet her he would become just as attached as his mother said he would. Poor Claire is affected by how messed up her parents are, not just her real parents but all of them. Hopefully Nathan and Claire will meet soon and Nathan can redeem himself.

By the way the $100,000 that Nathan gives to Meredith is meant for both her and Claire so that he can make up for all that he's missed.

I know she was just introduced, but I have some questions about her. IS she just some sort of drifter? Why is she going back to Mexico? Nathan said he'd give them $100, 000, but when she talked with Claire, she said "$50,000 and you're entitled to half of that". Is she just being selfish? Why move to Mexico all of a sudden? I do hope things turn out better for Nathan and Claire...anyway, just some thoughts.

She does seem kinda shady. And she seems like a real arse. She either didn't want Claire to begin with and now that she's back in her life she's running away to Mexico or maybe she's not supposed to have contact with Claire, suppose an agreement with HRG? Meredith kind of never finished her story about how Nathan was erased out of the picture.

I always knew there was something wrong about Meredith, I think that she does love Claire but something is driving her to run away again..possibly HRG?

The way Meredith is acting is because of how she has been treated or what she has experienced in her life that we don't know. We'll have to wait If there is like a LOST-like episode of her Past. (TPTB may have spoofed it for Meredith's Flash back.)

Also there was an information in the TWO-SCREEN that Meredith said it was only $50,000 because she was still to young to have that amount of Money.
