i have to say, sylar does remind me a little of Voldemort
the more people he kills and absorbs their power, the more evil he becomes
likewise with Tom Riddle, the more he killed people and ripped his soul into shards, the more evil he became..

i think one of the characters said that after creating six of his horcruxes, voldmeort was 'unrecognizable, a completly different person from before'

in heroes: sylar starts off just like that, a normal watchmaker at first, until chandra suresh tells him.. SYLAR.. YOU HAVE POWERS :D loll and sylar is like: i always knew i was special

likewise in harry potter: riddle starts off as quite a normal orphan boy, until dumbledore reveals to him that he is a wizard, and he says ''i always knew i was special'

so.. what i am basicaly saying is.. heroes and harry potter both have extremely similar protagonist villains

and now over to Naruto, the anime/manga series, I think that the akatsuki leader is rather similar to Linderman actually..

Linderman thinks that to bring peace to the world he must destroy it first and then heal it
and likewise, the akatsuki leader thinks that 'all war is pointless' and that first he must capture the nine tails and the other demons so that he may destroy the world, and then everyone will turn to him for leadership and there will be peace..

just my two cents, tell me whats ur opinion on this guys

yeah heroes is similar to a lot of other shows on TV and movies, no disrespect to the writers though.

yeah naruto is great, watched it for years, though i do recommend new viewers to watch on the net or something with japanese audio (naruto is so much funnier) since the dubbed version basically... Sucks!!
but for the more dedicated fans, cant wait to see naruto grown up!!

U r kind of right about the Harry Potter similarity, I don't know about the Naruto one, cuz I don't watch that. lol.

Heroes plays on some of the classic themes of good and evil, and there are bound to be similarities. I also noted the parallels between Riddle/Voldemort and Sylar. And remember what sets both Harry Potter and Peter Petrelli apart from their evil counterparts? Love. Charles Deveaux made a nice Dumbledore.

I forgot the greatest parallel between Sylar and Voldemort - their names. Both had names they deemed average and unworthy of themselves and gave themselves another name. And both react very strongly if someone calls them by their actual name - the ultimate ridicule! When I heard "MY NAME IS SYLAR!" I was so reminded of Voldy...

Aaagh. I can't stand it being compared to Anime. I hate Anime. All Anime. Very bad.
