What was the point in this novel?
has he got super strength or Telekinesis??
super strength
the point as I gathered was that, due to his ancestors' folly , who had displayed their powers to the public in order to gain attention were punished by the Pharoh as they were foolish to reveal the secret of the clan lineage, as this could leave to their capture into enslavery by the enemy for manipulation of their powers in tough labour such as lifting heavy objects and so forth. Back in the present, a descendant is experiencing the manifestation of his powers, however his father, who also shares the power, refuses to believe him. What's interesting though, is that this tale is rather similar that of Peter and Nathan at the beginning of Heroes, the TV series. The common factors within each tale include the rise of evil and greed, the desire to use others in pursuit of self satisfaction. The Company, or even more symbolically, Sylar, are organizations/characters which represent this attribute of man.
The basic moral being that, these 'special abilities' have been present in humans throughout time since the beginning of existence, dating all the way back to Egyptian times. Along with the existence of evolved humans there has always been greed and hunger for power and fame, leading to corruptions in society. The link between this tale and that of Peter Petrelli shows that there is little difference or change in man's character even after many thousands of years. The heart or base on which evil feeds itself is ever living.

Neither they have levitation!
no no read it again. he has got super strength (the ability to lift heavy objects is shown in the pictures) line from the strips: "Something strange has been happening to me. I can lift a one ton boulder all by myself."
Of course he could have been using telekinesis to lift the boulder as well as his own strength, but I doubt that since his arms are in direct contact with the boulder.

It isn't that bad!
I beleive telekinesis is limited to the users stregth (Peter in Powerless)
Levitation isnt crappy though Telekinesis is WAY better!

Some abilities have to be better than others.
Maybe they want some fresh ones for the show?

Wait... If his power is to levitate heavy objects, does that mean he can't levitate light objects? That would make the power crappy.
