I think that there's a lot more to explore in Maya's ability. It definitely seems like it could be a revolutionary power that's useful to The Company like regeneration. It seems that it could be used as a weapon by people with ill intentions but could also be used for good if reversed or tampered with. As for Maya's character, she doesn't appeal to me that much but I don't think that she has had time to shine yet. There's way more to explore in Maya as a whole I think.

So is she in Volume 3 or not?

However, West, Meredith and Claude have still the chance to come back while Candice and D.L. are lost forever.

As about Maya, she HAS TO definately be in volume 3 even she probably was more important in the previews volume (Exodus) which was cancelled.
However, if they develop the character well and she gets the chance to train and control her ability so she can focus on one person or more at will without affecting everyone as also learn to reverse her poison (like Alejandro did) then she will be VERY useful in Villains for sure.

On the top of that, She, Molly and Mohinder are connected through Sylar cause they all lost family members to him as also they are all alone and have only each other so.... Why not take care of each other?

The first one. I meant that we only saw flashbacks of D.L.'s death rather than seeing it 'live' as it were...

I hope that they bring Meredith, Audrey, Sanjog Iyer and Claude back.

But yea i think the "Maya controlling her ability" thing has potential.

i personlay cant stand maya i tihnk her power is not intresting one bit and that they should pull a D.L. on her and kill her and bring better characters back

I don't think her power has potential unless Sylar takes it. She can't really control it and the only thing it's good for is a masacre lol.

Sylar needs more powers if he's even gonna come close to being as powerful as peter.

I would bet on her being in season 3. So far, she's only just been introduced. If the strike hadn't happened, I'm sure we'd have found out what her character is all about. She needs to play more of a part in the story - it can't just be that she was Sylar's ride back to the States.

good point lol but he's already stated interest in her power. He could just let it out without feeling sad or angry, It would probably still work.

Mayas power is not bound on feelings. It just came out everytime she came upset because she wasn't able to control it yet. After she learns to use it at will and hopefully also focus it to a single person or only to the ones she want's it will be a kick ass power for sure.

I don't see Maya ever using this one at will, on anyone, with the single exception of Sylar. It's murder, and she's not a murderer. Yet.

I'm fairly certain that she'll get the Sylar experience soon - she has a power she doesn't want, and won' want to use now that she's able to control it. I see the following possible storylines for Maya:

- Either the character stays, in an eternal dilemma of what to do with herself (without her brother and everything), and the series explores that dilemma. Which I strongly doubt.

- She gets killed by Sylar and her powers live on through him.

- Or, the only way I can see her using her powers: She goes over to the dark side and continues to use them. It's more likely than #1. With her twin killed and she already a rather unstable personality, I could imagine her losing it pretty much completely.

(And don't you DARE come near Peter, Maya.)

I hope Maya does not come back. There is nothing to her character in my opinion. I feel the same way about West. I also want them to kill off Micah because I hate both him and his mother. I do hope they bring back Claude. I think there is a lot more in his character. Much more than Micah, Monica,West or Maya.

There is a the possibility to use her power to stop villains for the company or even to protect mohi and molly from those.

All 3 characters have something in common and this is SYLAR.
All 3 characters lost family members on him! What's a better motive?

Other than that maya indeed used her ability on purpose on the police station to free her brother.

I admit though that she used it only because she knew he can reverse it.
Since she learns how to control her power and due to the twins aspect which seems that they shared both "other end" of the same power (maya the infection, alejandro the reversion), it seems as when she learns to control it well, she will also be able to reverse the infection like alejandro did.

It would also explain why he was so expendable as well. :/

There are many ways and possibilities for her character to go and I'm sure we would had seen more of this character in Exodus that got cancelled. So her character were only introduced so far and served mainly so sylars story can be driven further and he has one more reason to go back to mohinder.

I would say to rather give some time to the character to develop instead of dropping immediately only because she wasn't happy with the things she couldn't control and with the loss she had as if you were happy by those happenings instead.

Other main characters took two whole seasons to be developed deeply while others were left out or used only to drive the stories of those characters forward so there is always a possibility as long as the writers want to go this way.

Sylar will never cry even when he killed his mother he didn't cry he's not Gabriel any more and he's definately not human.

yea, he didn't even cry when he killed his mother! dude hes such a bad@$$ and hes so cruel.

He cried after Mohinder jabbed him in the spine, but that was mostly just for show.

Parasite, episode 18 of season 1. He was trying to make Mohinder feel sorry for him with a single tear, it was pretty great.
