Hi, I'm the artist on the comic and a HUGE fan of the show. I hope you liked the webisode! I did the best I could in the limited time I had. I would have liked the likenesses to have been a little tighter, but them's the breaks when the clock ticks!
He definitely has the first three, but from my understanding it's his telekinesis that allowed him to make the jump on page 5. As for the melting? If you mean the letterbox on page 6, well... I think that's Zane's doing.
Any other questions, feel free to fire away. I will answer if I can.

Heya,
Thanks to everyone for all the kind words. I can't even begin to tell you how much they mean to me!
I don't know a lot more than you guys about Sylar. I don't know where he got his freezing powers, heck, I didn't even know he could freeze the road like that til I read the script! Here's what it does say: It specifically says in the script that he is telekinetically moving himself away from the falling truck on page 5 and they made sure to mention that he is NOT FLYING.
For those who were confused with the flashback on page 3, I apologise. I should have done the same crazy border that I used around the flashback on page 1. Maybe even the same colour scheme?
I hope the fans can appreciate the details Annette and I put into the comic. Here's some easter eggs:
Sylar's hat:
Thanks to the Primatech website for the logo for Sylar's hat!
PAGE 1:
Pay close attention to the newspaper in panel 3. We were specifically asked to put those headlines in.
PAGE 3:
There's a screw-up by me on the diner menu: It reads "Burnt Toaster" not "Burnt Toast" oops!
Panel 3 is my proudest panel. When I read the script I swore I remembered the scene. If you go back to episode 9 (I think) you will see that this panel is a mix of about 3 different scenes. I'm really proud of the composition and I love my likeness of Hiro.
PAGE 6: His watch - that's the actual face of his watch from Episode 10 where he gets his name from (I couldn't find reference for the band). The flag on the letterbox on panel 3 is supposed to be melted.
If you liked the story, please post here as I'd love to do more of them!

Wow! WOW! Thanks so much for all the kind words and great feedback. Page 5 is ALLLL Annette, my colourist. To give you an idea of how much she contributes, I'm going to post the black and white art (a page a day) on my blog when I get home tonight.
I noticed in your blog, you called the comic "Road Rage", did the title change from what you were told to the final version ("Road Kill")?
JB: Ooops! No sleep makes jasy stoopid. It should be called ROAD KILL.
I see Sylar still has his broken watch...but the time is not seven minutes to midnight.
JB: I never made that connection. Is that why that episode was named that? Is that what the time should be? I will remember next time!
How'd you end up as a comic artist, and spec. this Heroes gig? How was the weekly creative-edit-publication process like from your end?
JB: I don't wanna fill up the thread here with crap about me. This thread's about the story. You can find my "origin" story for the webisode on my blog (link at the bottom). As for the creative-edit-publication process, I worked mainly with Frank Mastromauro from Aspen Comics who was flat-out excellent. I will go into more details on my blog as I post the art.
Anybody else notice that the name on the truck, Northeast Brewing Company is an acronym for NBC?
Genius. I can't believe I didn't pick that! I wondered why they were so specific. If Annette and I had known, we probably would have designed a different logo... something more fitting...
