thanks to ausiello for the latest casting update...nothing TOO spoilery, but still something new....

not sure why we need more new recurring characters....but i guess since we are getting new "Villains" it is understood we would get some new recurring roles....

Heroes Season 3 Casting Update

Two new recurring roles are being cast, both of which are slated to debut in the Season 3 premiere. "Joy" is in her early twenties and described as "quick on her feet — and adept at getting herself into and out of trouble." Senator Robert Malden, meanwhile, is in his fifties and a political straight shooter.

The senator sounds interesting. Well, I am not sure I would welcome too many new characters, especially if they´ll push away the original but a politician...
There are few options:
1. He will be "special" and "good" and help our heroes
2. He will be "special" and "bad" and he will either connected with the villains or just go against heroes because he wouldn´t want to accept who he is
3. He is just an ordinary man but finds out about heroes and their abilities and will go against them (X-Men version?)

I think the politician will be a villain without powers i think he will kill people with powers just because their diferent and seem like a fret to him and the normal human race.

I know this should be in its own little theory topic but its just a quick and short theory, has anyone noticed that it describes Senator Robert Malden as a "straight shooter", now is it just me or could this be a revelation for him possibly being the Assassin? And before that it says he is a "political straight shooter", possibly meaning that as well as being a good politician, but also someone who is willing to kill for the government, and if such a revelation as 'Evolved humans' were to crop up then who knows what might happen, so he is trying to keep the peace.
