Carp I remember you posting a topic before about how the season might start off in a bad future, and how we may be transported back to current times by the end.

So what about starting off in this nightmare future and at the end of the episode Peter shoots Nathan and we carry on with the story.

1. the person who walked away in the season 2 final was wearing the same clothes that peter is wearing in this preview ... and we all asume that this is nathans shooter

2. I do believe this theorie ... at least its called "butterfly effect" so maybe nathans speech leeded to a very bad future like "five years gone" and instead of a hiros save the cheerleader save the world" peter just shots his brother

Jesus, you all know I've got a theory on a bad Peter(one of multiples),. just imagine it was bad Peter who killed Nathan.

Its plausible, like Milo said, they're is going to be sides of Peter we don't like.

It would also tie in with my notion that a if a good character went back like future Hiro then surely a corrupt Peter would do the same, so his reality still exists!!

Dont know about the rest of you, but I think bad Peter is most plausible explanation.

maybe its future peter he came back and did it but is aware that the blood will bring him back so just did it to prevent him from opening his mouth then later hell explain whats going on

I think its Future Peter. He could be trying to pervent some thing that happened in that future like what Hiro did in Volume 1 only this time its Peters turn. Ask for why he can't just tell Nathan, well his present self is standing right there. Maybe he figures that if he interacts with his present self things will get worse??? I was hoping it was Syler, oh well. Future Peter is an awesome choice. He sure has good aim with that gun. It would be intresting if it was there dad and he looked a lot like Peter. Either one is good for me..I don't want a real evil Peter, a darker Peter yes maybe but not evil =[

I have a theory about all of this .. its pretty long so try to get what I want to say because it may explain a lot of things that happened

1. Season 2 Final:
We saw a person who walked of and that guy was wearing a cap and we all asume that this person is nathans shooter
The person was wearing the same cloths as the guy we asumed to be sylar in seasons 1 2nd episode "dont look back"

what might have happened:
Future Peter knows that the way turned very cruel because Nathan told the world about the secret of Heroes ... so future peter goes back in time to fix this
But why would he shoot his own brother?
we know peter hasnt got a very strong personality .. there have always been people who "guide" him, like claude and adam did
so there should be another person who guids him in the future ... and this person needs to be someone he trusts even more than his own brother ... there is only one person who may fit to this: arthur petrelli
I never believed that suicid story and I doubt they would built up such a mysterious charakter if it was only to be a death father figure for the boys

back in the season 2 final angela talked to someone on the phone about "Parandoras box" ... we all thought she talked to the shooter but it wouldnt make sense since its future peter
maybe she talked to arthur on the phone about "pandoras box" = Peter .... if future peter can fix his cruel world he came from he would probably try to fix other things as well ... maybe he starts playing god and thats what pandoras box is
if so he could even be the person from season 1 episode 2 ... I always had a strange feeling about that scene ... the person seemed to fly away and as far as we know sylar does not have a flying ability ... maybe something will happen what deals with molly and he needs to fix this problem

also about peters scar:
if peter sees that his future I is the shooter he would probably be pissed and try to fight against himself I know this sounds wired but since those two were never suppose to meet each other he may get his scar from himself

Like I said previously I personally think its bad Peter who shot Nathan, I suppose you could futher that theory and include Soccergirls idea that Arthur has manipulated Peter in this bad reality in such a way that he has turned bad and is being used by Arthur.

So after the shooting you would have normal good guy Peter running about in the same timeline as bad guy Peter.

Well the previous trailer did show Nathan, Peter as villains...

But why shoot? I mean Peter can do so much more than shoot to kill..Why not freeze time and kick a** or is it all for dramatic effect?

Hmm Maybe Nathan does some thingn the future to cut off people from using there powers?? Oh wait, than if it is future Peter how woud he travel back in time? LOL. Hmm oh I know, maybe Nathan sent people after Peter after finding out that his brother went back to stop his present self from releasing his info. SO maybe Future Peter felt if he did time travel to much they'd find him??? I don't know, really this time travling stuff is just crazy. Also why can't Future Peter meet present Peter? Future Hiro meet present Hiro and nothing happened. I think it would be kind of neat. Another thing I do hope isn't the case is that some one is manipulating Peter, we saw that in Volume 2 I'd hope Peter would learn his lesson from that since he nearly killed his friends and all. I want it to be some thing different and not evil but if it is I guess I'll live

I am sticking to my original theory from when I saw Powerless, that it is Future Peter.
