6/16 — In a
video segment of E! Online's Watch with Kristin Show, Kristin dishes that Sylar's heart may actually grow a few sizes in Season Three. She elaborates that he will "do some surprising good-guy stuff and will have a surprising connection to a good-guy character [we] already know."
6/16 — Kristin of E! Online
claims "Claire is not the only character on the show who is adopted. And the next adoption twist is perhaps my favorite twist ever on this show. You know how sometimes those silly promo guys say things like 'It will change everything?' Well this one actually will."
Could this be Sylar who is adopted?

what if it's elle and she's actually claire's sister or something?
that would be a twist but not a 'major' one.
niki? adam's daughter? could be as well.
i like the sylar-peter-nathan brothers thing too though.

I f***ing told you all, didn't I?! No-one believed me! I f***ing knew it!
The only way I can see finding out who's adopted as changing everything is if it's Peter who's adopted. This would make Pete doubt his relationship with Nathan as a true Brotherly relationship and he'll start to go off the rails. This would cause these darker sides of Peter we've been hearing so much about and either this causes him to shoot Nathan or makes a time traveller consider this butterfly effect and change time by killing the person who originally told Peter he's adopted-or caused him to find out by blowing the whistle on the evolved humans- (Nathan.)
I have to give you credit for thinking of story lines to support your theory, but I really doubt that peter is adopted as an earlier spoiler from adrian said, discussing Angela's possible ability " She is the mother of three who do, so i would think so." Now I think they have all known this story from the start and that's why he slipped up. I'm sure that either Sylar or Hiro are related to the petrelli's. Could be Sylar because He had parents with no powers and he often expressed his desire to be extraordinary. Could be Hiro because when Matt Parkman asked Angela " Have you been sleeping with him [Kaito]" She replied "Not a for a long time anyway".

I think it might be Sylar's parents are Angela and some other guy. So he's half a Petrelli.
I can see them maybe trying the whole Peter/Sylar are twins like they have said - they're two sides of the same coin, but that would bring many questions like - Does Nathan know, as he's older?, why were they split up?, they are obviously not identical twins... and so on.
It could also be Nathan. There is that rumor of Linderman returning for a few episodes.
So I have no idea - but I do know, we only have 90 days left 'till "Villains" begins

Hmm, few ideas getting thrown around. Personally I feel Sylar is Peter and Nathans brother, and that either a duplicate of Peter or a bad of Peter went back to shoot Nathan to preserve their own reality.
You also have to remember that both Peter and Sylar have the same power, sure they have different means of extracting peoples powers but fundamentally they are the same. So how does Gabriel Petrelli roll off the tongue?
As for Sylar as the good guy, well thats easy. Its a bit like when other villians in comic books help their nemesis when a greater threat to all life comes up. I remember seeing Lex Luthor helping Superman and Magneto helping Professor X when such things happened, no point in dreaming about ruling the world when they're won't be one to rule.

Wow, it would sure be shocking if Syler was related to Peter. Syler growing a heart some what? Oooh, don't know what that means, maybe he decides to save Peter at the last moment. Or some one else. Claire being related to Elle? Hmm We've heard that before, too boring of an idea. If Peter wasn't really Nathans brother and Claires uncle that would sure make the kiss seem more understabdable LOL. Hmm Peter/Syler being brothers, I'd like that and them not being related to Nathan would be neat. Also I dought Peter would go crazy becuase of this, if you read the newest spoiler, it says Claire has an evil side too, maybe she's the one that goes crazy and kills Peter for no reason. Or shoots him any ways...Hiro? Maybe.

If anything, I’m expecting Sylar to be an illegitimate son of Arthur Petrelli. It wouldn’t be impossible for Angela to have had another child but the signs of pregnancy would be more difficult to conceal for obvious reasons, while Arthur could literally go out there and knock up some woman without much cause for suspicion, and then give the child away with help from the company to make sure the child lives a very uneventful life. Personally, I also agree that the adopted character must be Sylar; as a theory it would make absolute sense and its more… well, interesting and groundbreaking than any of the other possibilities. Sure, you could have Nikki being the daughter of Adam Monroe but I can’t imagine that actually making much of a difference to the storyline, at least if Peter and Sylar turned out to be brothers, it would deeply shake the foundations of their rivalry and could potential change both characters… turning Peter to ‘the dark side’ with the knowledge of what a brother of the same flesh and blood is capable of, while giving Sylar a certain sense of acceptance knowing that he comes from an extraordinary background which could potentially trigger a change in him once he’s found his place in the world. Since after all, Sylar’s descent was the product of feeling unsatisfied and displeased with where he stands in life; this kind of scenario would bring out the true nature of his soul, I reckon he’ll attempt to redeem himself and become the hero he really desires to be.
Also, there is that theory of Peter and Sylar being twins, separated at birth and representing ying & yang. Either way, for some reason I’ve got a feeling they both have some sort of tie to an empath, or at least someone with the power to absorb abilities on the same level as they can (not like that woman who tried to steal Linderman’s in the graphic novels) I mean remember what Claude said, there’s gotta be a previous empath in the storyline somewhere.
