What would your reaction be if they turned out to be twins in Volume 3? I'd fall out of my chair LOL. Spoiler says some one will turn out to be adopted, could be..They do have the same type of powers.
Luk3
That'd be quite cool.

I think it's totally possible that Peter/Sylar could be twins. It's not a coincidence I don't think that they have a similar ability; it's how both of them use their ability is what makes them different. But also, because of what future!Sylar said in Five Years Gone, Brother against Brother...it's almost biblical.

That episode and homecoming would take on a whole new meaning if this speculation were correct.

To be fair, Sylar probably said that because he was pretending to be Nathan at the time, so even though it wasn't the real Nathan it did kind of give the illusion of a 'brother against brother' situation, that was probably the meaning behind that scene. Although it would be a nice twist if in five years time it had been revealed that they were brothers, so it would give that statement a whole new context biggrin.gif

Oooh I'd like how that would be forshadowing. It would def make things oddles intresting.
Godsend Sylar
if this is true, will they keep fighting?
or peter will love sylar unconditionally? tongue.gif

there's a spoiler on heroes wiki that says sylar has a nicer side, so maybe he finds out he's related to peter and turns good. i hope not though, coz i like sylar when hes evil

You also have to remember that most villians in a superheroes world more often or not have some sort of relationship. So in my eyes it would be nothing new.

If I remember right the 1st story arc lasts for 11 episodes, so I feel that Sylar will aid certain people for that period. Then for volume 3 I see Sylar as one the main villians again.

I'd have mixed feelings about those two being twins.
It would be a rather interesting twist, I'd love to see their reactions when they find out, but on the other hand, it doesn't make any sense to me. Why would Angela have put Gabriel up for adoption? And - I don't the age difference between Peter and Nathan, but it should be some years - wouldn't Nathan know? They didn't yet have the Haitian back then, did they?
Well, but it would fit from the names alone. All three are biblical.

Well, we'll see. If it was explained logically, I would really like those two to be brothers. smile.gif

Ooh I have an idea, maybe one of the villains capture Peter and threaten to kill him but Syler steps in to tell them to let him kill Peter. I could see it all "After all we are brothers, I should be the one to take my own brothers life!" Than he could do the evil smile. It would be soo cool smile.gif

I've been thinking about this today and have come to the conclusion that Sylar and Peter aren't twins, only brothers.

It was said in an earlier spoiler that Angela was the mother of 3 powerful characters. Now they're is 1 or 2 theories about Arthur Petrelli having a lovechild, but that would conflict with the spoiler. So its more likely that Sylar is the result of Angela's affair with someone. So that would put the twin idea in the bin as they need to have both the same father and mother.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Peter is the adopted one?

they could have the same parents but just separated at birth for some reason

I remember watching an Unmasked episode were the writers stated they like replicating earlier classic scenes, except switching characters. Remember Claire in the morgue scene, and then later Noah's similar scene.

Well if you remember Claire was the result of an affair, later adopted(maybe down to both politics and the company). She then later on discovered the truth.

If you apply the idea that maybe the writers are trying to replicate again, then you can come up with a suprising, plausible theory that ties in with the spoilers.

Sylar was the result of an affair between Angela and an unknown person(Linderman?), he then could have been put up for adoption so as not to harm Arthur's early career in politics.

little bit of topic, sorry, but this might be a reason why arthur killed himself. Because angela kept cheating on him. we know she was sleeping with hrio's dad aswell

To be fair, there’s no way the whole ‘Arthur committed suicide’ thing is true, I mean think about it, he would be a great character to explore so I doubt he’s actually dead… either in hiding from becoming too ‘heroic’ for the company and being expelled from the organisation, or becoming too much of a threat some how, probably in the company’s basement somewhere.

I’d laugh if he actually had the power of resurrection if his wife has been going around saying he killed himself, oh the irony… tongue.gif
