I have a good theory........I believe that Sylar is the Son of Angela Patrelli . Think about it!!!! In the first season Dr. Suresh contacted Sylar because he had powers. But because of how sylar gets his powers he couldn't find any and therefore had given up with him and moved on to the next potential person.
Maybe if Sylar is the son of Angela then maybe they couldn't find any powers from sylar.....so she put him up for adoption because of this and then concentrated on Peter and Nathan solely. After all she did something quite similar with Peter and Nathan, in that they thought Nathan was the most powerful and pushed him into a position of power leaving Peter to pursue his own destiny. O.k, not quite the same but you get the theory I hope.
Maybe this is why we are hearing that in Season 3 Sylar's becoming a bit more good? Maybe being reunited with his biological mother makes him more human? If my theory is correct I would think that it was Angela that approaches Sylar and tells him of the truth, Smoething we have seen already perhaps? But then if Angela is truly as bad as she seems to be heading then her motives too go to Sylar must be her means to an end. But for what purpose - HERO or VILLAIN?

didnt angela and hiro's dad have an afair or "not for a long time"
gave me the idea that hiro maybe angela's son also!
but to think that sylar is angela's son is madness.... how does this add up?
yea i see that sylar and angela are together in the spoiler but doesnt angela have an extremely powerful form of manipulation?
I'm afraid it is looking like Sylar is the brother/half brother of Peter and Nathan. Theirs a lot of spoilers hinting at this, one being Claire isn't the only adopted character and it will change everything. Plus Sylar is going to have a suprising connection to a good guy character we already know.
