Do you think Peter will start to show powers from people he had contact with that have died? Eden, for instance? He met her before she died. There could be some great stories springing out of him manipulating people with his voice as she was able to do. And Sylar. I know he's still alive, but he has powers we haven't even seen yet and Peter had contact with him which is why he finally showed some telekinetic abilities. OMG, I can't wait to see what kind of stuff is going to be happening in the episodes to come!!!!!!
In yesterday's episode we saw Peter exhitit at least three and possible four powers that he has empathyized from others: flying from Nathan, invisibility from Claude, telekanesis from Sylar and possibly power of suggestion from Eden when he told Isaac, "Quit lying" afterwhich Isaac told Peter the truth.
At the time that he first tangled with Sylar, Sylar had acquired the following powers that we know for sure: telekanesis from Brian Davis, super memory from Charlie, freezing from Mr. Walker. We were told that from his MO, there were at least nine persons that had been killed. That is a lot of other powers that we aren't sure what Sylar got from these unknown heroes. One could have been this super sensitivity to other heroes presence....we saw that one early on with Charlie and Claire and in the online novel. Sylar has this super sensitivity to know, to feel when another hero was around he just couldn't always tell who it was ie picking up that Claire was around but not knowing that it wasn't Jackie.
So I think we can be sure that Peter got this power too...which may help explain how he was able to find Claude by being drawn toward him and then when close enough he was able to get the invisibility from Claude and therefore able to see Claude.
Also, let's not forget that Sylar originally had the ability to "understand how things work". When Chander Surresh tested Sylar, it did not show up as a reconizable DNA change or mutation so I'm not sure if Peter would be able to receive this or not. We will have to watch for signs that Peter is able to do this. Once, when Peter suddenly realizes that to "think of" or "remember" another hero was what enabled him to turn on that power that this might have been this power received from Sylar kicking in or maybe it was just his own intelect recognizing the empathy connection.
These latest powers that Sylar has obtained: melting metals and super hearing and any others he gets in the future. Peter won't get those until he meets up with Sylar again.
So as far as other powers received directly from other heroes: reading other's thoughts from Matt (as seen from the interview at the police station), prophetic dreams from Charles Deveaux, prophetic painting or drawing from Isaac (as seen from hospital and Isaac's studio), ability to stop time and control time/space continumum (as seen in subway with future Hiro), indestructability (super healing) from Claire (as seen from Homecoming tangle with Sylar when Claire came back for him and landing on cab). So have I missed any?
Are we certain that Samone had no power? Do we know that Peter got his dreams from Charles Deveaux? If Charles had a power, can we be so certain that Samone had none? We are not sure about Peter's father, if he had a power or not nor do we have any idea about his mother. Can anyone answer a question? Does Nathan have two sons? I thought that something was said early on to make me think that he did have but I don't remember now for sure. If he does, wonder what they might have, if anything?
Samone was shown in Peter's dream about the destruction of New York. Maybe she was suppose to die at that time. I recently read an interview where the writers said that one hero would die six weeks before that person was suppose to die because of some contract difficulities. Sounds like that may have been Samone. They may have created this dying scene for her after the dream sequence had already been filmed.
