Anyone have speculation on the person Claude was hiding from the company? My friend thinks that it was another empath like Peter since Claude seemed to have previous experience training empaths.

Hmm quite possibly, that would be really cool too especially if the empath was still alive

It was seven years ago... Let's see, do we know of anyone (besides the Haitian) who knew of their powers seven years ago? Dale - maybe. It could have been someone we haven't met -- like Sparrow Redhouse or one of the other folks on "the list". It's definitely NOT any of the "specials" we know now. Could it have been James Walker? I would suspect it's someone who lived or lives in/near Odessa, Texas. Arthur Dowland? Teresa Hue Pham?

I think it was Nathan.. Nathan has known about his powers for a while.. probably from around the time he was with Claire's mom. Or maybe his powers manifested later. Either way it could be Claude was protecting Nathan. Nathan's dad is also dead...So this "dad" could be claude..I mean he looks old enough

Maybe but I don't think so after all it would be kind of annoying if every time we were wondering who they might be referring to that it would turn out to be Nathan such as when he turned out to be Claire's biological father

You have to think about heroes that fit the timeline, I want to think that it was Wireless that he was hiding, although how Claude would've found out about her before she manifested, I'm not quite sure.

Hana's a good possibility. I don't think it was Nathan. If it was, there's a possibility that Claude would have known already about Peter and Claire, especially if he had kept tabs on Nathan all this time...all signs point the idea that it wasn't the elder Petrelli.

While Hana's a candidate, I agree that it should be someone Claude could reach easily. That would limit him to the US, if not Texas. It's probably someone he thought would cause too many problems if the organization got them. So a shape shifter is a good possibility. I'd vote for it's someone we haven't, and most likely won't, meet. Besides, it sort of ruins the fun of speculation if we know everything.

I think that Claude was hiding Simone. I mean think about it, Claude has lived in the roof of her father's building. She hadn't shown special abilities until last night's preview. And judging by her attitude it seemed she was quite familiar with her ability, like it was no surprise.

i don't think it's Hana that claude was hiding, because claire was a baby when all of that was going down, which means it had to be at least 16-17 yrs ago depending on claires age now. So think about the internet, e-mail, satellite communications and cell phones, 16-17 yrs ago??? How could she know about this power if technology wasn't as developed as it is today? i could be wrong though...

How old would Claire have been when this happened? He said something about, 'that's why you're so distant with her.' Maybe he began to suspect something about her manifesting, but was denying it to himself to ever have to turn her over to 'them.' I dunno. I guess Claude was asking that as a scenario or something. We'll find out who it was eventually. I'm kinda guessing it could be [spoiler]the new character coming up in next week's episode.[/spoiler]

Claire would have been like 8 or 9 I think.

Actually, this all makes sense. [spoiler]Claude keeps "his" birds at the Deveux place, Simone mentioned that Charles knew about the birds, and allowed them to stay, indicating that he knew something was up. Take that, and the fact that Charles knew Claude (the scene where HRG gets Claire takes place at at Deveux Tower, where Claude is), and I think that in return for hiding Simone, Charles hid Claude.[/spoiler]

But it is also good to have some mystery.

Why does everyone keep going on about Simone, she's gone. The preview I am positive is not what it seems. And didn't Kring like say Simone and Mohinder did not and will not have powers?

What about Meredith? She was supposedly "dead" for sometime. Only thing that rules that out is that HRG doesn't even know that Meredith's alive, but did HRG ever find out who Claude was hiding in the first place? I'm so confused...

That's exactly why he could have been protecting her. How can you start a new life when you're hiding from people who think you're dead? Someone must have helped her.

i was thinking bak in company man hrg shot claude because he was hiding a evolved human. at first i thought it was claire. ya know no big. hrg was hiding claire too but he had 2 shoo him to cover his own arse, but then i saw an interview an they say we all kno KNOW who he was hiding. and from out of nowhere i think. maybe he was hiding claires mom.
