prrehshh
yah i cried... this episode was amazing!!!
keteo
dude, he's not dead (he told the Haitian to shoot 2 inches lower, otherwise he'd die)...
and if he's going to die, what's the point of telling the Haitian to erase his memory...

HRG is doing this to stage an escape for Calire and Haitian...
Psycho
;O thanks for clearing that up i heard wrong lol

buy why shoot him?

To make the escape look authentic?

I don't think he lost his entire memory, he just lost enough so he wouldn't know how/where Claire and the Haitian escaped to and so that it seemed more real.
davidw89
AHHH I GET IT LOL

But i dont get why he would go against his boss..is his boos linderman otherwise who si that guy. Also whos that new girl inside that room with parkman..wats her ability? How did they end up stealing parkman and ted? And why is The Haitain going against his booss 2?

in the ep the hatian said he was protecting Claire for some one more important to her than hrg ??? thats why he didn't mind wipe her after homecoming also it was a great wtf moment to see pappa Nakamura giving hrg and Eric Roberts direct orders as well as seeing little hiro playing on a gen 1 game boy on the roof of issacs building in the past

all in all this was the greatest episode of the season and my god i cant wait to see the rest of them

pappa suresh out !!!

btw i think the hatian is working for Nathan petrelli imho :-)
Mr. Bennet
i think in the promo and pictures there were scenes we did not see. what happent?

Bigred
I would like to know if the US version on NBC tonight will be edited differently tot he Canadian version last night?

Also, someone want to explain what happened to the new hero that turned up at the end of last weeks episode, she was no where to be found in this episode and it was a continous episode from last week...ie in the Bennets house?
FallAway
THIS EPISODE SUCKED!!! I hate feeling totally emo after watching television, but today I did. I mean, COME ON.

What is going to happen to Claire? Are we going to see Lionel and her mom again, I love the Bennets!!! And what about her dad? I HATE THE MEMORY LOSS STUFF. It was horrible enough when Zach lost his (and where has he been???) now I have to experience her dad too!!! What is going to happen to Ted? And Matt? And everybody else in this episode?

Ugh, I feel so horrible. I really have to stop getting so attached, it makes me rant like crazy:(
Mr. Bennet
^^^we don t know what thehaitian took out yet! have good faith fallaway!

and this is a big bennet fan talking! biggrin.gif

Yeah, I know, that was a major and noticeable continuity error. The first minute I didn't notice then I went 'wait...isn't Hana supposed to be here?' Watch, it's probably another contract problem, that's how they all seem to disappear and get killed off wink.gif Or they decided last minute that it would be too easy to get information on Primatech with Hana there probably being able to hack into their computer and all.

Wow, this episode really confused me...I need to watch it again...

i remember hearing the hatian say that he took orders(not to erase claires memory) from someone in her life...did any1 else hear him say that? i wonder who he is talking about

I heard that too but I was talking about the importance of her life? I really have to watch this episode again
lanthrax
Hrg does not have any powers, but he is character has grown incredibly since the beginning of the show. In this episode i felt a real nice connection with him when he sacrificed himself for his daughter. I guess parent hood has that affect on you
Jester77
I love the way HRG has evolved into this very caring father but once the memory of Claire is removed, I believe that he very well may return to his old ways
droidzoid
I actually did like this episode with HRG and Claire. I was really into their relationship. I actually felt bad for HRG at the end. Too bad he is going to forget everything.
Cayo Loco
I don't know why but I always kind of liked him, but I could never rationalize why. I always felt that he was actually trying to protect his family, and for that reason I really liked this episode. It will be interesting if the memories that he loses as a result of this episode effect his paternal instincts. However, I don't think that there is any reason for the Haitian to remove anything that doesn't have to do with what suddenly happened to Claire, so he should still harbor the same love and devotion.

That guy was Thompson. We can conclude that he works for the DNA manipulation folks. He is HRG's immediate supervisor and he works under Kaito Nakamura. He has been with "the company" for more than 15 years, too.

The girl inside the room with Matt is Candace Wilmer. BTW, she was on Chandra Suresh's list. We don't know her ability/power as yet, but I think she's the one described in some spoilers -- uses her "charms" to do dirty work for her boss (Thompson).

Since Thompson and HRG were both on-site, Ted and Matt were likely tranquilized and moved to the company facility. I don't like that Thompson implied they would find out what makes Ted "tick", then kill him. That doesn't sound right -- it doesn't mesh with what Thompson told HRG when he was hired nor what HRG and the Haitian have been doing together. Maybe since the company cannot control Ted's power, their only option (as HRG told Ted) is to kill him. ??? I think Hana will free Ted before he's done away with, though.

Did anyone notice that the preview shows Mr. Linderman (played by Malcom McDowell)? WOW!
boogerface
Yeah, I thought this was one of the better eps, and I am a fan of Mr. B. Too bad, in the previews of next week,
they show him appear again, I thought he would disappear for a few eps.. They also showed Nicole up and at it again
. I think we get introduced to another hero.
Cayo Loco
Yeah this is getting a little bit wild. I am all for a bunch of heroes, but I want to story to progress rather than introduce new heroes! I am now completely fascinated with Peter and I want to see if he can figure himself out.
Tim Kring
I cried... sad.gif I really did. I have to say this was an emotional ending! I AM A MAN, but I cried...

Somebody hold me...
xiaohuang
I felt the emotion too. HRG will be the key player to either helps the heroes or to destroy them.
Eventhough he may lost the memories of his love to Claire but i believes deep down in his heart there's always a room for Claire.
I believes in the future episodes, he may go against the company and helps the heroes. Hope so.
Tim Kring
This episode was unusually emotional, and I think it will be considered one of the GREATEST episodes of the first season.

OMG! So much happened... I would've never imagined it being any better! I didn't expect anything like this! SO MANY ANSWERS! Heroes just continues to grow on me, and my family... It is not just an entertaining show on for an hour a week, this is a great experience. Great storytelling!

I cried... and cried... and then stuffed a Kleenex in my face...

I LOVE H.R.G. for sacrificing his relationship with little "Claire Bear", to keep her safe... *SNIFFLES*

Anyone else sharing the same emotions with me?
cookiesgal
i totally agree with the others that this is one of the greatest episode! the scene was so touching plus the sorrowful music playing in the background. i just couldn't control my tears... i totally feel for claire and her dad. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sod sob...

This is such a great episode, hands down the best show of its kind.
DCSimian
Man, what a fantastic episode! It took awhile for everything to sink in and work out the kinks, but ultimately, it was sooo good, imo. So much background and development, especially into Mr. Bennett. That, and Ted dropped a notch for me on the likeable scale...I sympathized with the guy for a long time, until he started coming off as a total kook in some scenes. Loved Parkman in this ep too! Great use of his telepathy! Lol..."right hook coming"...loved the "oh shyte" look on Matt's face. Ted went nuts after he got shot...which leads me to believe that everyone inside during that event, with the exception of Claire, may be facing some radiation affects...unless you can expunge the radiation or something from their bodies. Lol, I wonder what they're going to do about all the witnesses.

The only thing that kinda bothered me was all the convenient little tie-ins. Mr. Nakamura meeting with Mr. Bennett and Claude on top of the Deveaux building with little Claire and Hiro...stretching it.
spacepete
so I was pretty confused after watching this episode, too. a good way to clear things up is by going to the heroes page on nbc.com, and reading the episode recap. in the written recap for "company man" it explains that the haition shot mr. bennet to make it look like a real kidnapping. the haition then erased mr. bennets memory so he wouldn't know anything about where claire or the haition are going.

sorry if this has already been posted.
lanthrax
I dont think HRG forgot everything about claire... I think he has only forgotten their escape plan

I actually loved that they did that usually I would be against things like that but I loved how it all played out so nicely. This episode was beyond amazing though one of my all time favorites

We have always known from all the things that have been said in the past episodes that the rooftop was going to be significant.....Isaac painted future scenes as viewed from it, Peter first flew by his choice from it, Claude cared for birds on it, Simone & Isaac met there often, Peter & Claude observed Isaac & Simone from it, HRG & the Haitian chase Peter & Claude trying to shoot them on it, Claude & HRG & Mr. Makamura (in the past) met there and HRG was given Claire and now we see the first meeting of Hiro and Claire even if they didn't know about it or understand it.

Remember, Peter said that they are all connected.......

Doesn't it just make you more excited to see what Mr. Makamura was doing with Claire in the first place. If the fire was in Odessa what was he doing with her in NYC? Is he the money behind the orginazation that HRG works for? Had they already tested Claire and knew that she would likely manifest a power?
Was that because they knew that both Meredith and Nathan had a power?

I loved that Hiro was there with his father. Wonder if he will ever remember that?

I still say that the Deveaux Society has something to do with all this. Just makes sense that could be why everyone seems to be tied to that building. A building that Simone's father, Charles Deveaux owned.

And Simone, is she dead or what? That was her in the preview for next week. How did she survive? Did Peter do something to save her?

The Deveaux building is deeply tied into this show but I'm not exacly sure how. Also Simone doesn't survive something else happened that allowed her to be as she was in the preview
Tim Kring
AGREED!!!

Deveaux Society is a very KEY element to this whole SHOW!!!
lanthrax
HMMM TRUE......
boogerface
yeah, there must be a connection to the Deveaux society, it just sounds too secretive not to have as part of the story line. Kindof like their own version of the Masons.

and Simones father's death will most llikely play a big part of the story line in future episodes, iMho.

It just seems too odd to have a whole sub story about Peter taking care of Simone's father, only to have him die in a later ep.
Tim Kring
YEAH! "BOOGERFACE" you are right...
Tim Kring
yeah, it has... but oh well!

Just re-says it... to make us think about it more...

"spacepete," (guest) you should join this site...

Ye...Interesting. I didn't notice that. maybe it has to do with the fact that he inherits the premonition powers from the old man

It's interesting to see whether or not small subplots like that will be beneficial in the rest of the story. Who knows adding Charles may have just been a way to introduce and showcase Peter's character

I think Charles has a bigger part in this story!

Tim Kring said that the FINALE will have a re-made scene from the pilot in it... A COMPLETELY RE-MADE SCENE, MADE TO TELL A DIFFERENT SIDE OF THE STORY!

And I'm betting that this is the trail that will lead all of them to Mr. Linderman -- the guy who's backing Nakamura and Thompson's endeavors to find, tag and track "specials". I don't think Linderman's intentions are in line with HRG's, though. The company wants to disassemble the powers -- and possibly use them for something other than "hero" work.

I'm wondering how tracking people with powers is beneficial and what exactly are they trying to accomplish?

haha had the same question jester. but they kill some of them... so perhaps they are looking for some genetical code to make ppl evolve? or something... LOST made me think of that in season 1 or 2 or whatever that was haha laugh.gif

It seems though that they only kill the people with powers when they betray the company

He said that in an interview, but to my convenience I can't sem to find it on youtube anymore...

Charles Deveaux DEFINITELY has a huge impact on this story!
claire-bear

I think his impact is more of symbolic than anything. It probably symbolizes the key theme of the whole series.
