I am a Man, but everyone cries...

This episode was unusually emotional, and I think it will be considered one of the GREATEST episodes of the first season.

OMG! So much happened... I would've never imagined it being any better! I didn't expect anything like this! SO MANY ANSWERS! Heroes just continues to grow on me, and my family... It is not just an entertaining show on for an hour a week, this is a great experience. Great storytelling!

I cried... sad.gif and cried... mellow.gif and then stuffed a Kleenex in my face... unsure.gif

I LOVE H.R.G. for sacrificing his relationship with little "Claire Bear", to keep her safe... *SNIFFLES*

Anyone else sharing the same emotions with me?

This is the part of the forum TO EXPRESS YOURSELF & NOT BE JUDGED FOR DOING SO!!!

I definantly did not expect him to sacrifice himself. When they pulled up on the bridge, i thought maybe he was going to "Get rid of" the Haitan. BUT I NEVER EXPECTED HIMSELF! ohmy.gif

But i agree, this was one of the more "touching" episodes, especially sicne the whole episode was specifically surrounding the Bennet family. But i didnt cry laugh.gif
travis
i'm not a cry baby mr tim kring hehe

I feel ya, TK. I am a pretty emotional guy, and after following the entire show so far the ending hit me hard. It made me feel sad. The writing that made us lose HRG at the same time that we began to like him was great, and just supports how magnificent of a show this is.
Mr. Bennet
i didn t need to reach the end to cry ... i m an emo anyway haha biggrin.gif
Venomous Valdez
yeah, when claire walked out of the house and regenerated, i cried, but i didnt cry at the end.
Hero in Waiting

My kids tell me I have no heart, that's possible...I'm the one who deals with the dead pets, the dead family. Last time I cried was about 3 years ago at my dad's funeral. sad.gif

That's about it though. I'm not that old, but I've seen alot in my life. Tears are rarely shed. cool.gif

It was a good episode, he did the right thing.

Dude...its not like HRG is dead....he only sacrificed his "mind"

That's the point the fact that he would be shot and give up his memories of Claire is incredibly heroic. I loved last night's episode and I love that it centered around the Bennet family since they are without a doubt my favorite storyline.
NikkiS1978
Well I didn't have to use a Kleenex, but I got misty eyed. I swear my bf did too hehe
Tim Kring
Thank you all! Even though some of you didn't share some soft-er feelings than others, this was a great episode! I was sobbing my eyes out @ the end...

Thank you for helping me get through all of this you guys! tongue.gif

laugh.gif You guys are like my family, away from my family... smile.gif

YOU ARE MY CYBER-FAMILY!!! LOL! HAHAHAHA! laugh.gif

you know what!!!!! i cried like a b***h man. Dude these past two episodes have been fantastic. I myself am not an emotional guy, i work in pretty much a straight line. These two episodes had me coming out my shell. When peter did something "unexpected" i went flipping crazy dude, i just cant explain. But "company man", whoaaaaaa!!!! To say that i had a lump in my throat, is a proverbial understatement. Too emotional man, too emotional. After the episode i just felt like letting it all go, i was sooo happy but yet sooo sad. Its gonna be cool to see what happens with HRG and Claire in the future.
Peace out

I have to admit, it was quite an emotional episode but you seem to forget that he was gonna kill claude and others..
tbh fuck him?
tongue.gif I like the characters roll but I aint all for the guy.

I honestly think HRG is a good guy deep down inside... but now that he won't remember Claire, he will be bad-ass again! laugh.gif

I think he will just forget where they are going!! He is not goin to forget her!! belive me on this one. He is just gonna forget his final plans for her so that he doesnt betrray her

We all are very different, and we shall stay this way...

Well,

Poor Mr. Bennet. He sacrificed himself for Claire but if we think back how he could almost kill his own wife when he kept asking the Haitian to erase her mind. He is a good person to some extent but he deserves that after what he had done in the past.

And now we know that Hiro's father is very much involved but unfortunately, Hiro did not know that.

Frankly speaking, I can't wait to see Simone die if she manages to die in the next episode and I'm getting annoyed with helpless Nikki. Come on, it is your body. I wonder whatever happen if Peter confronts the Haitian.

There are few characters that annoyed me so much in the show but that what makes me like the show.

I don't feel anything when Mr. Bennet sacrificed himself.
Tim Kring
Nikki's character really lags the show, that is all I have to say... I HATE HER STORYLINE!!! I FAST-FORWARD THROUGH HER PARTS AFTER I RECORD IT! laugh.gif tongue.gif

I LOVE ALI LARTER, but her character sucks... I am A LOT more interested in Micah and DL's relationship and their abilities... wink.gif

-Alic
boogerface
you're right. there is very little connection between the Nikki storyline and the rest of the heroes. It's like they are on their own little subplot that has nothing much to do with the rest of the heroes. they have to develop a stronger connection between them all.

and no , i did not cry, i just got something in my eye rolleyes.gif

Yeah, they better pick up the storyline;s pace with Nikki/Jessica!!! angry.gif This is my only dissapointment in the show!

Very much a lump-in-your-throat moment at the end. Claire walking out of the house was a powerful scene, but the end topped it. And I didn't see it coming.

It hit me hard, and there were tears in my eyes when I came to realize what HRG was doing. Good stuff, but it wouldn't be that way if it weren't for the great acting.

I am new to this forum, hence no posts.

But the last episode (company man) has actually made me want to join a forum and discuss it!

So.... i take it HRG (i have no idea what that stands for) isn't intending to die? But make it look as if he is?

Also Christopher Eccleston (loving his work in Britain, DOCTOR WHO!!) don't know his characters name the now, but whats the deal with him, he was shot loads of times, and was he actually hiding Claire those 7 years ago.... also is claire going to him now?!?!

Also.... do you think HRG (if he lives) is going to erase his families minds again as his wife is not going to handle that well!

Right, i await the replies telling my im thick and should have worked this out myself.

That was definetly not the end of HRG, we'll still see him though he will most likely go back to his old ways without having known Claire

After this episode it was weird going back to the multiple stories of the ensemble cast, I have to admit I liked just the one story but it would probably get old if they did that all the time

It was made by one of the writers to add mystery to the character. I saw the released Interview that they will call jack as Horned-Rimmed-Glasses. And we'll never learn his true name till he dies I think.

They should have done the Final shot like what they did to Matt Parkman in the blue room.

Where they have the camera as HRG's Point of View, focused on Claire's Face and the Haitian's Head at the Background. As the Haitian's Hand blocks his head and HRG's last sight is Claire's face befor the Haitian's fingers block the view and fades to black then we see...

I don't think it would have fit honestly, after all the HRG shot makes him seem sort of ominous but in that moment he isn't the HRG that we knew but just a man who would do anything to protect his daughter

No it would actually show that HRG is the Victim of the Haitian's powers like Matt, and we try to see HRG's Last moment of memory of Claire as his final goodbye AND it will be Identical theme to the Previous Chapter like they wanted to.

Cause I know that they wanted to keep some similar shots from previous episodes. Like when Niki was talking to Micah in the car and the camera from the back seat looking at them and they did the Exactly same shot of DL talking to Micah.

@ TK
Thanks But I'm NOT trained to be a director and it would be an insult to my friends in the Theather Dept. for me to Direct without any Experience and basic Background in Direction. BUT I can still throw out only one or two REALLY GREAT shots of a scene BUT NOT ALL of an Episode. NOR would I want to. wacko.gif It's extremely Taxing.

The thing is, is that they use the HRG shot when HRG is doing something sort of "evil" (something for the company) such as when he is talking to Sylar or in Mohinder's apartment. It's true that they use the HRG shot during the flashback of when he tells Claire that she is adopted, but the shot fits because it's his first moment with these glasses. Using the HRG shot for something as emotional as a final goodbye between Claire and HRG just wouldn't work.
