Claire can obviously surivive being shot-dead, irradiated around the neck, and being totally irradiated from a mini-nuclear explosion. My theory is that Sylar will absorb Ted's nuclear power but since he can't really control his emotions and won't know how to control Ted's power any better than Ted could........Peter won't be allowed to go anywhere near Sylar, because he could absorb the powers that Sylar "stole" and that includes "Ted" and giving the "vision" of a possible future could go nuclear.......and given that we all know that Claire is the best chance against said nuclear fall out........Claire could go in with everyone else distracting Sylar.........and slice his head open or off altogether and absorb all the powers that Sylar has absorbed himself......now, given her experience with keeping the secret of her "healing", loosing her memory, and emotional control she's been exhibiting thus far........I think she could handle Ted's powers.........but, what could be cooler than that is that Ted never gets killed by Sylar..........but instead, Claire has to kill them both in order to save the world!!

Argh! This isn't The Highlander. Sylar is able to take powers by studying heroes' brains and learning how their powers work. This is Sylar's original power, remember? Theoretically Peter should be able to do the same but there is no way Claire would be able to absorb Sylar's powers this way.

In order for Peter to have Ted's powers Ted has to escape and meet with him, or Sylar manages to break into Primatech and takes Ted's powers and he then runs into Peter.... Or maybe Peter gets taken to Primatech. A few more episodes and we'll find out.

Sylar is able to take the powers of others because he has the ability to know how things work. Claire does not have that ability and couldn't just simply take the powers of others.

Well ancient civilizations would eat the heart and brains of their dead in order to preserve their memory, knowledge and strength. I'm thinking Sylar got this idea from there and tried it and it might have worked..Other wise there is no reason for him to have the power to absorb other peoples powers. He might have read up and figured out what to do. Anyways in that case Claire could do this too. I actually like your idea of canibalism to perserve memories and strength........but, a las Sylar might've gotten the idea there, but he doesn't show that kind of respect for his "victims".........I think Claire coud be haunted by memories that she don't know where or who they are coming from and she wants to find out who these people are and do them and their memory honor by living up to her potential!!

I think your BOTH getting confused of what Claire's Abilities is Rapid Celluar (Tissue) Regeneration and that is it. Claire Does NOT have any other powers that we have seen to indicate that she could do a Highlander on Sylar. And Just because she's in the Petrlli line doesn't mean she has the same powers as her uncle. Check Nathan and the Sanders.
